Sen. Bond Warns Palin Crowd That Obama Wants Judges Who Empathize With "The Gay"

(CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO.) - Taking the stage as one of the pre-program speakers at a Sarah Palin rally here in Rush Limbaugh's hometown, Sen. Kit Bond, R-Missouri, fired up the crowd by warning them about Barack Obama's judicial philosophy.

"Just this past week, we saw what Barack Obama said about judges," Bond said. "He said, 'I'm tired of these judges who want to follow what the Founding Fathers said and the Constitution. I want judges who have a heart, have an empathy for the teenage mom, the minority, the gay, the disabled. We want them to show empathy. We want them to show compassion.'"

Bond then seized on Obama's comments to Joe The Plumber, saying the Democrat wants to redistribute wealth.

"He thinks this country should be a government—not a government of laws, but a government of compassion and empathy, not of laws," Bond said.

Bond was referring to Obama's answer to "Joe the Plumber's" question earlier this month "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?"

"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too," Obama said on Oct. 12 in Holland, Ohio. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

Palin is scheduled to take the stage in just a few minutes, but there are still thousands of people in line outside waiting the Show-Me Center.

After this event, Palin heads to Erie, Pennsylvania, for a closed national security roundtable and a rally. She'll end her day with a rally in Williamsport, home of the Little League World Series.

Obama wants to reverse the money shift of the past 8 years which has cast millions into poverty and allowed a few rich to exploit all the rest of us. Vote Obama! I have read his books. He is very self revealing and he has high ideals. He is a great man--who has come to us--just when we need him.

Reublicans want judges who ---like in Texas---reverse 85% of jury settled cases ---to adjudicate in favor of big business and screw little people, justice and the environment. Republicans have a big machine--with Cheny as a key player--who does everything with an eye for making money for a few rich people. They don''t even try to solve issues for our country. They have taken away health care for children and cast millions of children into poverty. The corruption is so high that we are on the edge of an abyss and Obama can help lead us out of this horrible state. Obama-- a man with a good heart and strong intelligence and unusual stateman abilities.

"The Gay"?? What a pathetic man. Like Rachel Maddow said, "Its not like its catchy!" BUT did he also say "The disabled" ???? Does that mean my beautiful sister who suffers from MS...who has offered up her body to medical science testing the new,yet "unnamed" MS drug (manufactured by the Canadian Bio MS Technology corp.)should be stripped of her rights as an American? How dare Obama defend these people!! Bond: You make me sick. MaCain makes me sick and most of all that stupid, stupid VP pick (can''t even stand the sound of my own voice saying her name) makes me VIOLENTLY sick!! May you reap what you sow.

I think what he meant to say was that Obama wants judges who will empathize with "The People." As in "We The People." As in "all of us." Meanwhile, Republicans clearly want judges who do not empathize with "some of the people."

In reference to Senator Bond''s comment regarding Obama''s choice of Judges empathizing with ''the Gay''......

I wonder how the last 8 years of judges have viewed the preferences of Elliot Spitzer, Larry Craig, Bob Allen, Jim West, Mark Foley, Rev Ted Haggard to name a few?

Mr. Obama was speaking about the ''everyday'' average citizens who don''t get preferential treatment like the above politicians.

As for introducing Ms. Palin, is Mr. Bond also a sympathizer to her AIP organization?

You know that''s the trouble with ''pointing fingers'' ....they get pinched when when their owner twists the truths.

p.s.....Hope you got together with Limbaugh while stumping in his home town....you two have a lot in common.

Here we go again! Another divisive republican trying to scare the religious right. You can be sure that his so-called "quote" of Obama is anything but. America needs unity now, not division. Enough already!
