From CBS News' John Bentley:

(TAMPA, FLA.) – Attempting to change the subject away from the economy and back to national security, John McCain questioned whether Barack Obama could serve as an effective commander-in-chief after a meeting with his national security advisers.

"They question whether my opponent in this election has the wisdom or judgment to serve as commander in chief," McCain said.

"Our enemies' violent ambitions must still be prevented – by American vigilance, by diplomacy and cooperation with our partners, and by force of arms as a last resort."

McCain said Obama was unprepared to deal with America's enemies, repeating his oft-told line that his running mate, Joe Biden, has said a crisis will occur if Obama is elected.

"The question is whether this is a man who has what it takes to protect America from Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda, and other grave threats in the world," McCain said.

"He has given you no reason to answer in the affirmative."

Mccain does not have what it takes to protect America. If he knew how why didn''t he let his 90% friend Bush in on the secret?

Speaking of protecting America, McCain admits to collaborating with the enemy while he was a POW in Vietnam. Hey, he betrayed us once ------ he could do it again. (Just read his book)

But, let%u2019s be fair. McCain is also impetuous, erratic, an impulsive decision-maker and, like Bush, a corporate fascist. I love how all you howler monkey%u2019s love to label democrats a socialists ------ while your cornpone dictator implements an unprecedented %u201CSTATE%u201D takeover and ownership of our banking infrastructure. That, my dim-witted repugnicants, is called SOCIALSIM.

Incidentally, McCain never commanded anything other than a small group of men (whom he betrayed), received %u201Chonorary medals%u201D given as a courtesy to all POW on repatriating and will actually tax health care.

General Wesley Clark, ret., puts it better: "The truth is that .. McCain''s largely untested and untried. He''s never been responsible for policy formulation. He''s never had leadership in a crisis, or in anything larger than his own aircraft carrier."

Oh well, at least we%u2019ve got Palin, you betcha.

Obama already out-strategized and outmaneuvered McCain. The polls prove it. McCain is out touch with reality.

I don''t know if it is possible for Obama to have what it takes; I thought McCain''s 90% pal, George Bush, already took it all. And gave it to the bankers and money market managers. I fear that "Passing Wind" has been infected by "Idiot Wind," for if Obama fails on all three counts, his own selection for veep certainly fails the smell test. Please remember that if a plumber has only a force cup for a tool, all plumbing problems will require a force cup. The same is true for a "warrior:" if all he knows is "launching the bombers," launching the bombers will be his "affirmative" answer to every crisis. I don''t mind John''s pursuing OBL to the gates of hell, but, given his age, if he mistakes accelerator for brake or, more likely, falls asleep at the wheel, I don''t want to be an unwilling passenger.

After John McCain does a "Chicken Little" routine over the economic meltdown a couple of weeks ago; running around waiving his arms and phoning it in, What makes home qualified to comment on who is ready? Even if his response had not been so utterly lame; the VOTERS decide who is QUALIFIED not the candidates.
