McCain In Ohio and Pennsylvania Today

(CLEVELAND) – John McCain will hit two states he desperately needs to win today, holding rallies in Dayton later today and then heading over to Pennsylvania for a rally in Pottsville this evening.

While several polls show Ohio as a fairly tight race, Pennsylvania has moved towards Barack Obama. While some in the McCain camp believe that Pennsylvania is closer than the polls indicate, McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin have a number of events scheduled around the Keystone State over the next two days to try and shore up support.

They will be campaigning mostly in the suburbs and smaller towns of the state, outside of the large urban areas of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia where Obama's strength is greatest. McCain's campaign hopes they can pick up disaffected Hillary Clinton voters that went for her in the primaries, but may be more willing to cross party lines on Election Day.
