Obama Intensifies Tone Against McCain, Calls His Attacks "Loco"

(CBS)
(LAS VEGAS) - Barack Obama continued to ratchet up his rhetoric against John McCain tonight, signaling that with ten days to go until the election, he is ready for a fight. At a stadium rally at Bonanza High School, Obama suggested that McCain's attacks are "loco", Spanish for "crazy", and that he is "throwing the kitchen sink at him."
Instead of talking about the economy, Obama said McCain is focusing on attacking him. "They've throwing everything at us, including the kitchen sink – all 7 of those kitchen sinks he's been throwing at me," Obama said, perhaps referring to McCain's multiple homes.
Earlier this summer, Obama blasted McCain for saying in an interview that he did know how many homes he owned. It was a favorite line on the stump, as Obama tried to portray his opponent as being out of touch with the middle class.
Tonight, Obama also referred to some of McCain's attacks as "loco." "Then the other day, he took it to a whole new level. He said - get this – he said that I was like George W Bush," he said seemingly shocked, "That's what he said. Loco! You can't make this stuff up!"
Not only is Obama changing his tone on the stump, but he is also intensifying his schedule. He already attended two campaign events and has a late evening rally scheduled in Albuquerque, N.M., tonight.
