McCain Hammers Obama Over Biden Comments

(CBS)

From CBS News' John Bentley:

(BELTON, MO.) – John McCain ratcheted up his attacks on Barack Obama's foreign policy credentials by using his running mate's words against him.

"If Sen. Obama is elected, Sen. Biden said, we will have an international crisis to test America's new president. We don't want a president who invites testing from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting in two wars," McCain said, referring to Biden's remarks at a fundraiser where he said "we're going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

Biden went on to say that it may not be "apparent that we're right" at the time.

"Forget apparent," McCain said. "Sen. Obama won't have the right response, and we know that because we've seen the wrong response from him over and over during this campaign."

The Obama campaign responded that McCain approach to foreign policy has been "erratic."

"With our nation facing two wars and 21st century threats abroad, Sen. Biden referenced the simple fact that history shows presidents face challenges from day one," said Obama spokesman David Wade. "After eight years of a failed foreign policy, we need Barack Obama's good judgment and steady leadership, not the erratic and ideological Bush-McCain approach that has set back our security and standing in the world."

I believe what''s missing here is Obama/Biden are already taking an initiative to prepare for such a testing of a new president by anyone. That to me shows VERY GOOD JUDGEMENT. For any group, organi-zation who may be up to no good as of yet may start wondering "Are these guys already on to us,"We better rethink what we are about or want to do? Good job, Joe putting the enemies/the American people on notice that you/Obama are already looking out. Excellent.

Someone wrote: 1 Timothy 6:17-19 - Jesus Christ is a Socialist.

Obama is NOT Jesus Christ. As a matter of fact, if you take away the fact that he is running for president, he really doesn''t have much to stand on.

If he was just your average person applying for a job as security in a US airport, once the background check was conducted and reports of his past connections appear, he would not even pass the backgroung check to get the job. As we know backgroung checks have become the standard whenever hiring.

I guess sometimes I don''t understand how we think in the U.S. We have a person with NO EXPERIENCE, one that wouldn''t even get a job that has anything to do with security because of his past and now we want to give him the key and full access to military secrets.

HAVE YOU ALL GONE INSANE.

Oh, oh. Obama is finally finding out what the rest of America already knew. Joe Biden is a loose cannon. Can''t this guy keep his mouth shut about international intelligence?

I think we''ve seen very clearly how the 2 candidates will act in a time of crisis or need.

The last few weeks of the financial meltdown have shown us just what kind of leader McCain or Obama would make.

Sure and steady, or clumsy and erratic. Pretty clear contrast.

Biden is privy to lots of intelligence. He is also privy to lots we don''t understand about Obama. I would hazard a guess that this "Big Test" will involve the middle east. Perhaps Israel. Biden is preparing his democratic supporters for a blow to Israel and an ensuint American Response that allows Israel to suffer. America''s incorrect response will be explained away as something other than what it really is until it is too late to save Israel. May God Help Us All. As Biden said in the same speech, "Gird Your Loins".

I believe Senator Biden was making an attempt to quote ''Henry V''. Meaning that even though Senator Obama is young the world will shocked by his strength. I don''t doubt that Sen. Obama will be able to handle problems as they arise, as Presidents before him have. My issues with Sen. Obama have more to do with his domestic ideas. Despite my lack of enthusiam for Sen. McCain, I feel that he will do the least amount of damage to the country as a whole.
This election has done a weird thing to us Americans. I think it has polarized us far more than normal. We argue about who said what, who knows who, and the color and gender of canidates. Humble as my opinion is I think this. Vote. Vote for McCain, vote for Obama. Vote for who YOU think will do the best. The adage is true, all politics are local. How will this new President affect YOU? I support John McCain, but I do not chide or lash out, at those who vote for Obama. They have their reasons, I have mine. Whoever the next President is, I will support. If I don''t like his policies, I will write my Senator and Congressman. Simple as that.
