McCain Campaigns in Wisconsin Today

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:

(MILWAUKEE) – It will be a day of cheeseheads, bratwursts, and talk of Green Bay football for the next day and a half for John McCain. He holds the first of three Wisconsin rallies at noon today with Sarah Palin in the traditional Republican stronghold of Waukesha, followed by an afternoon event in conservative Mosinee.

McCain's campaign has indicated that they are trying to shore up areas of support, rather than expand the electoral map and try to turn more Democratic areas to the Republican side. While the race here in Wisconsin was tight a few weeks ago, Barack Obama and Joe Biden have opened up a five point lead in the latest polls.

The presidential race has been tight in Wisconsin the past eight years, with Democrats Al Gore and John Kerry winning the state by only a few thousand votes. No Republican candidate has won the state, though, since 1984.

Are these people representative of Wisconsin? If so, remind me to never go there. If a democrat or independent got up and said these hateful slurs and lies like the McCain, Wisconsin Rally man did, they would be tasered, tear-gassed, arrested and locked up in a holding area like they were in Denver and Minnesota just for organizing a peaceful protest.

I''m amazed at the hateful speech and lies being written by these McCain followers. Do they read books and newspapers or just watch Faux news? It is sad. They must be fearful, desperate people.

I also live in Wisconsin. Way more McCain signs than Obama. McCain head quarters is having trouble keeping Mcain/Palin signs in stock. Great rally today. It is time for McCain to put it all out on Obama. I am so sick of that socialist!

Why not just sit back a have the victory party....

And why the voter cheating by the Dem run and funded ACORN?

If it''s in the bag, why cheat?

I guess it must be closer than you what to believe...

Zogby (only one to predict with exact accuracey the last 2 Pres. elections)

Obama 48

I watched all day on news showing McCain%u2019s interview on Fox News about wanting Obama to come out with the truth about Ayers so the public can decide. Why isn%u2019t anyone calling out McCain on his hypocrisy on TROOPERGATE? He asks that Obama come clean, yet he sends his lawyers to Alaska to cover up TROOPERGATE. Why doesn%u2019t McCain let Palin testify about her TROOPERATE connection so the American Public can decide %u2013 the same standard he wants to apply to Obama.

I don%u2019t want to hear this *** that TROOPERGATE is politically motivated and that the AYERS connection isn%u2019t. American people are not stupid. One thing we can%u2019t stand is a hypocrite.

I%u2019m upset that the media televises McCain''s hypocrisy when applying the standard of truth for Obama yet ignores his effort in covering up his VP involvement in TROOPERGATE. If judgment is what McCain is questioning about Obama, shouldn%u2019t the American pubic question McCain%u2019s judgment for picking a VP that may be using her powers for personal reasons? Especially after 8 years of *** Chaney. After all, Palin''s character could be a heart beat away from the Presidency if McCain is elected. If McCain wants the American pubic to decide what is true, than let Palin testify. She seems to have some CHARACTER flaws so she is the last person who should be pointing fingers

The media keeps dropping the ball. Everything McCain seems to criticize about Obama seems to apply in his own campaign.

Ever notice that with all the William Ayers and ACORN cloud cover that no one wants to talk about Cindy McCain%u2019s drug addiction, her father being buddies with the mod boss Kemper Marley or McCain being invited to the birthday party of Joe Bonanno? Why was McCain invited to a mod bosses birthday party?
And how does John McCain''s collaborating with the enemy make him a hero? No discussion either of Todd Palin having his nose in Governmental business and the business of the Mayor. People state they could not have a meeting with Sarah Palin without Todd being there and of course he has his nose in Troopergate. He was not an employee of the State but a citizen. Makes you wonder if he''d need to sit in on meetings at the White House since he''s such an important fisherman and all.
Why do we not hear of John McCain''s ties to the gambling casino''s in Vegas?
I find it interesting that Colin Powell, a close personal friend of McCains for 27 years, refuses to endorse him.
And why is this stuff never mentioned? Because Obama is an honorable man trying to run an honorable campaign.
