Palin Says Omaha Visit Was Not Campaign's Call, It Was Hers

From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(OMAHA, NEB.) - Sarah Palin said at a hastily scheduled Sunday night rally in this solidly red state that the decision to come here was hers alone and was not the defensive move by her campaign to lock up Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District that many pundits have suggested.

"The pundits today on TV—one of them was saying, check out the vice president's schedule, check out where she's going — she's going to Nebraska," Palin said.

"But the pundit was saying the only reason she'd be going there is 'cause they're scared, so they gotta go there and shore up votes. And I so wanted to reach into that TV and say no, I'm going to Nebraska because I want to go to Nebraska.

Nebraska is one of only two states that splits its Electoral College votes, and the Obama campaign is making a serious play for the solidly-Republican 2nd Congressional District, which is represented by Rep. Lee Terry, R-Neb. But Palin suggested that the obvious political ramifications had nothing to do with her decision to come here.

"And you can ask — and probably the reporters will ask — the top dogs in our campaign why am I in Nebraska, and it's truly because I asked to come to the heartland of America today," she said.

There are many conservatives that want to see and hear Sarah Palin. She is a huge draw! She is the only true conservative running since Ronald Reagan. We love her!

All of this can be summed up in a few words. She is an idiot! Whoever votes for someone so nieve is truely out of touch with the issues we face today in Amserica. God bless us if John McCain and Sarah Paylin are elected.

Nellybelly52,
let me get this straight. People are upset with Palin, so there must be something that strikes fear.
Then you say she is dangerous. You have just flunked Psychology 101. Nobody''s gonna beleive your subliminal ***. Sarah palin is dumb as a brick for being used by McCain''s campaign to spout gutter rhetoric and half truths, and your a moron if you think we would. the whole premise behind her nomination was to get a "folksy" woman to draw votes by talking "real" to the supposed dummies who would believe her incoherent babbiling. Your not a devils advocate, you knucklehead, your just a simple knucklehead.
Make sure you attend the big damage control meeting at the GOP headquarters after you lose the election. And don''t forget to listen to Limbaugh and O''Reilly. Maybe you can get some pointers from those losers.
Good Luck.

She is a first class idiot. There is no other way to describe it. A liar, and thats proven of both Mcain and herself. Things come out to disprove everything they say, but they keep spewing it out.
I hate to think that she might be President, and that''s a very real possibility.

I am laughing at the anti-Palin sentiment here. If fear is shown by the screaming here, it must mean that there is some substance in the comments and actions of Palin. That people may react positively, and the protective cloak worn by Obama may reveal the darkness within.

Palin is dangerous, and her rhetoric is designed to bring her attention, and the liberals are doing that. Nobody would notice the dog barking until you start telling people that the dog is barking.

Pitbulls are not known for their intelligence, and this one is also on a chain. All bark!!

I wish she was anywhere right now, but Florida. Please get here out of here! Hasn''t anyone told her most of the remarks she is making have been disproven? Someone please tell John where she is. She needs to be put back on the Straight Talk Express and returned to Alaska. Although, I''m not sure they want her anymore.

McShame, you ought to be ashamed that McPalin is now calling you out, and seeking her own schedule! So she "wanted" to go to Nebraska on her own!! You have opened the door to an ambitious pit bull and now she is charging ahead, knocking you off the wheel chair and determined to replace you too, by whatever means. Not all pets are loyal and sometimes they have to be put down because they have destroyed their minders!

Palin''s first courageous move when she became governor was to put a tanning bed in the governor''s mansion. This is fact, look it up. Is this the kind of CHANGE she is talking about? Does a tanning bed make you a maverick?
