Palin To Meet With T. Boone Pickens

(ST. LOUIS) Fresh off last night's debate performance, Sarah Palin will meet privately with Texas oilman T. Boone Pickens in Dallas on Friday.

Energy is one of Palin's favorite topics on the stump, and she is sure to find a receptive audience in Pickens, whose plan calls for weaning the United States off foreign oil in favor of renewable resources.

Palin has supported lifting of restrictions on offshore drilling and has taken credit for supporting the construction of a nearly $40 billion natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the continental United States, although the Washington Post notes the pipeline is at least a decade from being built and some Alaskan lawmakers have started second-guessing the project.

Palin will also make appearances at fundraisers in Dallas and San Antonio on Friday.
