McCain Continues Criticizing Obama on Economy

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:

(MEDIA, PA.) – John McCain continued to criticize Barack Obama for not putting out a plan on the economy in the wake of the current financial troubles; however, Obama did put out such a plan last week, and talked about it again today.

"Sen. Obama has declined to put forth a plan of his own. I'm not surprised," McCain said. "His campaign said that today he'd outline his plan, but this afternoon instead of offering a single solution, he just gave another speech full of political attacks."

Both candidates have certainly given speeches full of political attacks, but they have also both put forth plans on how they would like to stabilize the financial markets and regulate Wall Street. Obama listed six principles of reform today, and called for more oversight and regulation of financial institutions.

McCain has also unveiled a six-point plan, which includes added transparency of the banking industry and more regulatory clarity.

How the Democrats Created the Financial Crisis: Kevin Hassett

Obama & Hilliary both took campaign contributions from Freddie & Fannie.

"Oh, and there is one little footnote to the story that''s worth keeping in mind while Democrats point fingers between now and Nov. 4: Senator John McCain was one of the three cosponsors of S.190, the bill that would have averted this mess."

Did everyone see CNN rip McCain for his lies on an economic plan?

Obama''s plan has been out since March and is incredibly detailed. While Obama talked in depth about his economic plan, McCain was running lies. McCain''s lies were so bad, most media made it a top story.

McCain criticized Obama''s economic plan in March. Funny thing is, 6 months later, McCain''s now saying Obama''s plan was right.

CNN blasted McCain as the one who has no economic plan details.

John McCain''s economic plan is 10 lines. That''s not an economic plan, that''s a disaster.

"McCain Continues Criticizing Obama on Economy"

No surprise there. It''s a lot more enjoyable than explaining why he(McCain) was FOR deregulation, before he was AGAINST it.

I kind of feel bad for the guy. What''s a liar to do, when the collection of credible lies shrinks and shrinks daily?

The truth has cornered him and the lights are getting brighter. McCain has no place else to hide, that campaign which is his ship, is sinking fast under the weight of his lies.

If you''re about to retire, or retired already, you''d better be very wary of voting for republicans (especially McCain) this election cycle. McCain''s idea for retirement is to have you invest your own money in the stock market, which just happens to be run by his backers. If McCain had his way a few years ago by replacing Social Security, how do you think that your retirement stipend would be doing right now? Don''t buy the BS that the republicans are feeding you - they aren''t for US workers or the elderly.
