Obama: McCain Is "Flippin' So Fast"

(CBS)
From CBS News' Maria Gavrilovic:

(GREEN BAY, WISC.) - Barack Obama blasted John McCain's record on the economy today and accused him of using the financial crisis to pander to voters. Obama said McCain has been disingenuously offering more progressive ideas on the campaign trail, but that his record suggests otherwise.

"Who do you think has been running the government for the last 8 years, who's been in charge for the last 8 years?," Obama asked the crowd of thousands at a rally.

"They made the mess. They have been running the government. They have been making the appointments, they have been in charge of regulations. So how it is that they are now suggesting that they weren't in charge?"

Obama accused McCain of having an "election-time conversion" by suggesting that he has swapped in his experience platform for a platform of change.

"He's trying to make up for 26 years in 26 hours, he's flippin' so fast," Obama said.

"He's spent most of the last 19 months arguing that what qualifies him to be president is the decades he's spent in Washington and suddenly he's had a change in heart, an election time conversion."

Although Obama spent a good chunk of his speech today blasting his opponent, he called for a bipartisan solution to the financial crisis.

"I'm working with anybody who's willing to get the job done," Obama said. However, he quickly pointed his finger at Bush Administration for the problem. "We did not arrive at this moment by some accident of history," Obama said, "We are in this mess because of a bankrupt philosophy."

CBS4me3;john42318 -- just stop. The stupidity of your posts and thought processes are exactly why the US is in this mess. Use your brains and wake up. If you need to be "conservative", vote for Barr, but McCain is a step backwards. And if you really care about the country, then you would vote for Obama.

Barry "Flip-Flop" Obama is confused, the poor soul. He has flipped and flopped so much, that his flipping and his flopping have taken their toll. Where is Hillary when we need her; then again, we have Sarah Palin. Happy Days are Here Again.

The evangelical right is blood thirsty. They never see a war that they don%u2019t like. They will vote for McCain who is an admitted serial adulterer. I haven%u2019t heard them condemn the pregnancy of unmarried, 17 year old Bristol Palin.

How they distort the Christian message! Jesus was a peace maker and cautioned repeatedly about the sins of fornication and adultery.

And the %u201Cfaith%u201Dbased initiative--giving our taxes to preachers--isn%u2019t that unconstitutional?

Vote and save America from McCain-palin lies, lies, and flies.

Vot the ticket of thoughtful, real non-partisan, & non-impulsive plans to address our current economic crisis or political tactics and temperamental statements.

I have personally and professionally concluded that OBAMA-BIDEN ticket will lift and inspire our greatgrand nation back to its greatness within and restore our global standing with the use of maximum, firm
international diplomacy and minimal force if and when indicated {" Peace thru Strenght "}.

Yours sincerely,

The Dems bear little or NO responsibility for this crisis. It had already begun by the time the democrats got control of congress and they tried to pass several bills to stop this crisis in 2007 & early 2008. Sadly these prescient attempts at prevention were either filibustered by Republicans in the Senate or vetoed by President Bush. Don''t believe me? Look it up here:

McCain is history. You are seeing his history unfold before your very eyes, and we are picking-up the tab! He is indeed experienced and responsible. He is trying to be experienced by not responsible, and that is irresponsible.
