McCain Mocks Obama's Streisand Fundraiser

(VIENNA, OHIO) – Sarah Palin not only energized the crowd at today's rally, but she seemed to get John McCain worked up, too. He ended his speech here with a shot at Obama that cast him as out of touch with the workers of America.

"Talk about siding with the people, siding with the people just before he flew off to Hollywood for a fundraiser with Barbra Streisand and his celebrity friends," McCain said, referring to Obama's fundraiser tonight.

"Let me tell you, my friends, there's no place I'd rather be than here with the working men and women of Ohio."

McCain also accused Obama of trying to take credit for the Congressional stimulus package and for taking money from failed mortgage lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

"Sen. Obama is not interested in the politics of hope, he's interested in his political future and that's why he's hurling insults, making up facts about his record. Today he claimed the Congressional stimulus package was his idea. That's news to those of us in Congress who supported it," McCain said, alleging Obama didn't even vote on the package.

"He talks a tough game on the financial crisis, but the facts tell a different story. Sen. Obama took more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than anyone but the chairman of the committee they answer to, and he put Fannie Mae's CEO, who helped create this problem, in charge of finding his vice-president. That's not change, that's what's broken in Washington."

What McCain didn't mention is that he has also received contributions from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and that his own vice-presidential vetter, Arthur Culvahouse, is a former lobbyist for Fannie Mae.

The Republican party who said that working moms were liberal, bad parents, selfish and anti-family, who said that liberal policies on *** ed were responsible for teen pregnancy, and the abortion rate; the Republican, family-friendly party that opposed the family medical leave act, opposed the equal rights amendment, opposed universal health care, eliminated overtime, and approved tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, is now the party that brings you Sarah Palin.

Around the time for Iraq war, the Media played an uncritical cheerleader of Bush''s irrational invasion of Iraq. I couldn''t believe the cowardliness of the media. Today, I am equally shocked by the vile, the distortion.

Currently this country is a country of propaganda where media is using itself to generate it''s own version of reality.

economy is really bad and Sen Obama is still a money genius.

He will be burning more than a half Billion dollars by the end of his bid to the Presidency.

sounds like the last days of Roman empire.

we can glimse at Obama goverment spending style looking at how he manages his campaign money.

He set records in getting money out of people''s pocket, big ones, but more from small ones he claims.

What he doesn''t want us to know is his records in spending.

He is championing in spending money.

His August spending is jut below 60 million dollars, two million dollars a day. With these records he is upgrading money politics in America to a new horizen. This will be the legacy of Sen. Obama in American political history.

Does he spend the money wisely?

I am not sure.

He set quite an ambitious or unrealistic goal to win over 50 states, an overestimation of his popularity and he wasted his resources unfocusedly.

There is no doubt he will raise tax like the way he raised campaign funds. My worry is this. Is he going to spend the tax revenue wisely? So far the record shows the opposite. He doesn''t seem know of the value of hard earned money.

Jeb Bush sat was on the podium supporting John McCain as McCain campaigned in Florida today (9/16/08).

The problem?

Jeb Bush is a PAID CONSULTANT for LEHMAN BROTHERS, the company that collapsed yesterday. He obtained the position with Lehman Brothers after having Florida purchase BILLIONS of DOLLARS of Lehman Brothers'' mortgage backed securities that are now WORTHLESS.

As Governor, Jeb Bush was one of three administrators on the State Board of Administration (SBA) that agreed to let the state''s retirement fund buy a series of mortgage-backed securities from Lehman Brothers that are now worthless. Jeb Bush also supported Lehman Brothers managing two funds for the SBA.

Jeb Bush''s reward for supporting his corporate sponsor? a "Consulting" contract with Lehman Brothers. I wonder if JEB will get paid as Lehman Brothers goes into bankruptcy? LMAO You bet he will.

What''s so surprising? Nothing really. After all, MOST OF McCAIN''S ADVISERS AND ALL OF HIS TOP CAMPAIGN STAFF are lobbyists or "consultants" for large corporations and the entrenched Washington special interests.
