McCain Touts Palin's National Security Chops

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(FAIRFAX, Va.) John McCain told a massive crowd of about 23,000 people that while Barack Obama is "wrong on national security," Sarah Palin "is right on national security, and she's been right."

"She understands these issues," McCain said. I am proud of her."

Palin's thin national security resume has come under fire from Democrats. The Alaska Governor appears to have traveled very little outside the United States (she did visit troops in Germany and the Middle East) and shortly after taking office in 2007, she was quoted as saying, "I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq."

But McCain suggested that Palin's work in negotiating a natural gas pipeline is indicative of the kind of effort that will make America less dependent on oil-rich nations like Russia, who he accused of trying to rediscover its Czarist past.

"Recently the Russians committed aggression in a little country called Georgia—that was part of their attempt to reassemble the Russian Empire and also to control the energy supplies to Europe and the world," McCain said. "This governor negotiated a $40 billion natural gas pipeline that will bring clean energy to the Lower 48, which will help alleviate America's energy requirements. I'm proud of that job, and that's the kind of work we can achieve."

John Mccain was under the control of the communist Vietnimese and their allies Red China for 5 years.
What did they do to him mentally?
Are his well documented and profane tirades against his fellow senators (Republican Thad Cochran )
is one of them. Sen Cochran has stated that he shudders to think of Mccain''s hand on the nuclear button.

Why are the dems worried about Gov. Palins qualifications? It just amplifies the lack of Obama''s qualifications. Other than supporting infanticide and wanting to teach grade K children about *** education, what has he done? I know, just words, just speeches. How about Biden asking a MO state senator who is in a wheelchair to stand up? Come on. Before you go firing at Gov. Palin, watch what Biden has done today!

McCain and Palin stand before audiences and brag about their accomplishments. I have Palin memorized by now-- I put a plane on ebay, I fired the cook and saved the money, I was against the bridge to nowhere-- And the people in the audience chant USA, USA, USA. Neither one is telling how they are going to fix the economy, or bring back jobs, instead they say a bunch of cliques--we are going to clean up Washington, we are going to get rid of pork barrel spending, we are going to work across the isle, we are going to make sure nobody does what they are not supposed to do, we are going to make ''em walk in a straight line, John McCain has the experience, my friends, we are going to get create new jobs, we believe in nuclear power plants, drill baby drill. GEEZ, you would think these two frauds would be called on the carpet for having NO PLAN AT ALL!!!! It is scary to see the zombies chanting USA, USA, when their audience consists of all whites, nobody of color around and no diversity whatsoever. This is NOT the America that I know.

Qualified?
Really?

I think not. She''s an unknown on the ticket as window dressing.

She''s touted by a guy who for eight years has supported a failed president at every turn. If he wanted change he could have used his "vast powers" to convince the current bunch to change, what he has done is *** little.

As to Palin---He has to die before she does much of anything and he''s calling the shots, not her.

Contrary to belief, what really does work is diplomacy, she''s got none.

We used to look at presidents as statesmen, not politicians. What we have here are two hack politicians at their worst lying their way to the top of the polls momentarilly

It is hard to believe the media is allowing Palin to skip talking to them and she is supposed to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. She wants to play with the big boys, then she has to talk to the media right? Wrong, and the media is falling for it. Allowing this woman to repeat the same prepared speech on the campaign trail about her accomplishments in a small town and sparsely populated state, when the media asked Obama 1 million questions about his personal, professional, and even nonrelated associations. If someone met Obama in a grocery store, he was asked about it. I am convinced the media is very double-standard. This woman who said to pray for a pipeline and that God was directing the Iraq war, is being allowed to walk around as if she graduated the top of her class from some military school on the East coast and as if she was the governor of New York. It is embarrashing and discouraging to see the American media report on any story that provides big ratings. What happened to the integrity of the media? I guess just tossed out the window. I wish there was a journalist who had enough courage to stand up and insist on a real interview, not a staged one.

Liberals can easily forgive their candidate Obama using any and all means to insult and slime his opponents - but the vast majority of Americans will not forgive him until he is sent home to Chicago, defeated and forgotten.

Obama, your days as a politician on the national scene is severely shortened by your own foolish blunders and your elitist arrogance.
