From CBS News' Maria Gavrilovic:

(YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO) - As Barack Obama campaigns with his running mate for the second day after the Democratic convention, his campaign released a negative ad responding to John McCain's vice presidential pick. The ad doesn't directly criticize Sarah Palin, instead it blasts McCain's economic agenda portraying him as out of touch and linking him to George Bush.

"McCain doesn't get it," the narrator says. "While this may be his running-mate…America knows this is John McCain's agenda…And we can't afford four more years of the same."

This morning, the Obamas and the Bidens enjoyed breakfast together at diner stop in Boardman, Ohio. Obama ordered a waffle, two eggs, and a side of bacon, while Biden stuck to the French toast. In between eating and shaking hands with customers, Obama briefly commented on Hurricane Gustav.

"We are deeply concerned. I've instructed my Senate staff to monitor the situation closely. Make sure we've contacted both FEMA but also private relief organizations just to make sure that whatever happens people are prepared," Obama said.

When asked whether the Gulf Coast is more prepared now than three years ago for Hurricane Katrina, Obama said, "We're going to try to find out."

Biden commented on the evacuation of New Orleans and other coastal areas, saying "this time they're not taking any chances, so say a prayer."

This afternoon in Cleveland, Obama and Biden will attend the funeral of Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, who died recently of a brain aneurysm.

It seems he didn''t say anything negative about McCain''s VP choice. God knows he it would have been very easy to do. McCain jumped all over Obama when he choose Biden. Obama isn''t worried about What''s Her Name because she is not a threat. She won''t help McCain more than she hurts him. I just can''t imagine her as president.

And just what are the rest of the world leaders saying about Traitor McBush''s VP pick.

Wait.........just one short moment....any second now.........

Nope, sorry.....none of them have stopped laughing yet.

I can think of no better word to describe someone who puts their own self interest ahead of their country than TRAITOR. Traitor McBush falls under this definition. Not only is Traitor McBush a full blown TRAITOR, he''s also an adulterer. I guess that is why Traitor Republican Evangelicals love him. They love to buy into the lies. Good Traitor Republican Sheep. Baaaa Baaaaa. Vote for Traitor McBush and his new sidekick.....Elaine from Seinfeld. I didn''t even know Elaine was running for VP. But Traitor Republican Sheep will continue to buy into the lies and will vote for Traitor McBush and Elaine from Seinfeld because they must fullfill Revelations and destroy the world. The Traitor Republican Sheep must be stopped.

"Obama Campaign Releases Ad Criticizing McCain VP Choice"???!!

I have seen the ad in question, and not only does it NOT criticize Palin, it barely mentions her specifically. It simply acknowledges that McCain has chosen a running mate. The commercial was produced before the announcement was made and a photo of Palin was inserted at the last minute, with no mention of her name. It went on to say that McCain still doesn''t get it. So your headline is not just marginally askew, but rather the absolute antithesis of the truth. Is your headline writer asleep at the wheel, or is CBS News going the way of Fox Noise?

I believe that if one studies the resumes/CVs of Ms Palin and Michelle Obama you will find the later more qualified to be a VP.

After spend most of last night and reviewing the comments this morning on most of the popular blogs and MSM web sites, it appears that the folks that support Obama are in full panic mode and unable to get past the snark.

Sounds like Palin has stolen Obama''s "I''m an outsider" thunder. Smooth move on McCains part.

Their might be hope for change after all.
