McCain Likes Harleys Better Than Berliners; Volunteers Cindy for Pageant

From CBS News' John Bentley:

(STURGIS, S.D.) – The roar of Harley-Davidsons was music to John McCain's ears here at the world's largest motorcycle rally.

"Not long ago, a couple of hundred thousand Berliners made a lot of noise for my opponent," McCain said about Barack Obama's recent European tour. "I'll take the roar of 50,000 Harleys any day."

McCain was here to speak at the Buffalo Chip campground's annual Tribute to American Veterans and Active Duty Servicemen this evening, talking to the many veterans and soldiers that take part in the annual Sturgis Bike Week. But he also suggested his wife Cindy could participate in the festivities.

"I was looking at the Sturgis schedule and noticed that you have a beauty pageant and so I encouraged Cindy to compete," McCain said to cheers from the (mostly male) crowd. "With a little luck, she could be on the only woman ever to serve as both the first lady and Miss Buffalo Chip."

It is unlikely that Mrs. McCain participated. The "Miss Buffalo Chip Beauty Pageant - Bikinis on the Beach" was described by Jim Caple of EPSN as "essentially a topless beauty pageant. And occasionally bottomless, too."

I believe that at last year''s event, "Miss Buffalo Chip" fellated a banana.

I just want to point out that if Barack Obama said that he "encouraged" Michelle to enter a topless beauty pageant for the pleasure of a gathering of black gangs, this election would be OVER.

The "liberal media" would have it on a 24/7 news loop, and play it every fifteen minutes for three days.

Mr McCain has taken this campaign about as low as it can go. Anyone who thinks he did not know about the topless nature of the pageant is just being stupid, lets see, he loves bikers, he spent his entire life with men in the service, he makes rape jokes, Um geuss what, he knew plenty. Lets get real people

Why is it that no one seems to be asking whether Senator McCain may have a "gender issue?" This really was sexist and placed in context with McCain''s previous remarks (Trollop, C--t, The Joy of Gorilla Rape joke) seems to paint a picture of an overt pattern of sexism.

We''ve spent at least three news cycles on how some perceive Senator Obama as somehow presumptuous or arrogant. Why have we wasted so much time on perceived presumptuousness when we have overt sexism staring us in the face?

McCain''s statement about the Berliners was not a way to help the US''s image around the world.

There are over 200,000 Americans living in Germany and about 50,000 military. The media never considered how many American''s were at the Berlin speech.

There are also approximately 100,000 Americans in France and about 30,000 Americans in Switzerland.

McCain''s comment about Cindy being in a practically nude beauty contest once again demonstrates McCain''s sexism toward women.

McCain runs on a platform of being a vet yet he doesn''t support them. Recently, the VA was busted for suggesting lower diagnosis be given to our veterans in order to keep the costs down. As John McCain said ''it''s not important".

Check with wwwDOTvotevets.org and wwwDOTveteransforcommonsense.org to learn about his lack of support for our vets.

Why support a politician who does not support our troops?
