From CBS News' Maria Gavrilovic:

(CHICAGO) "Rolling Stone" hits the stands today with a cover article on Barack Obama, who sat down for an exclusive interview with the magazine's co-founder and publisher Jann Wenner. Wenner pressed Obama on a hodgepodge of topics including his diminishing ego and his famous friends.

Obama told Wenner that his ego has been brought down a notch with age, and that his self-described "steady temper" is a result of that. "I've discovered that I don't get a lot of satisfaction from being the center of attention, but I do get satisfaction from getting work done," Obama said, "And that, in turn, has lead to a confirmation that I have a steady temper."

Obama also spoke about rap music, which he said sometimes touts misogyny and materialism. Although he defended friends, Jay-Z, Ludacris and Russell Simmons, describing them as great business men, Obama had some advice for the rappers.

"It would be nice if I could have my daughters listen to their music without me worrying that they were getting bad images of themselves."

He added that he listens to Jay-Z, as well as Sheryl Crow, Yo-Yo Ma, and Miles Davis on his iPod on the campaign trail.

ALL TALK- NEVER ANY ACTION! ( When Obama refers to Kennedy then he must realize Kennedy''''s statement :

"It is not what your country can do for you - but what you can do for your country" -

That should be enough to see that:

OBAMA HAS DONE NOTHING FOR HIS COUNTRY, but LIE!
Obama is the next BUSH, not MCCAIN.

MCCAIN 2008- 2012

"MCVet,

All rap music isn''''t misoginist and the best way to have less that is would be for consumers to buy the music which isn''''t.

This is not McVet, just some *** would thinks it''s clever to add an hyphen to somebody else''s login name.

"Why wont Obamas campaign return campaign dontations from rap musicians that profit from celebrating the denigration and subjugation of women?

When obama stops blaming stuff on groups, stops breaking people down into groups. Stops trying to divide this nation up more than he has.

We the people

Are all Americans

He needs to look at the country like that, not in his divisons.

Poverty does not know any race
Hungry does not know any race
Illness does not know any race
Homeless does not know any race
Unemployment does not know any race.

People need to start taking responsibility for their own lives and not use race or anything else for an excuse.

What people choose to do with their lives is The reason their lives are the way they are.

Obama is a divider not a uniter.
He has proven that over the past year and a half.

Obama is an opportunist and a user.

mortal3 unfortunately society doesn''t work that way, or else everyone would have their own individual desired employment.

Therefore, it is up to everyday folks, citizens, members of society to create opportunities for themselves.

Let''s face it corporate America/European isn''t going to subsidize the American people, and like it or not, it is each individuals responsibility to afford him/herself with the necessary skills to survive.

Obama nor McCain is going to transform corporate America or this society into a individual-based economic structure.

And certainly skilled, professional, and high-tech jobs are being outsourced for cheaper labor, but to use this as an excuse to not finish high-school or motivate oneself productively, to seek post-secondary education, vocational trade, or entrepreneurship is a responsibility of the individual and not society.

Thanks for the last two post those are the points I was trying make and i''ll admit both of you explained it better than I did. I was just commenting to those people who think just because you listen to rap music you have no sense of morality or respect for women because it''s not true.
