Election Is The Difference Between "More Fair" And "Less Fair" Judiciary Obama Says

(WAYNE, PA) Barack Obama suggested today that, if elected president, John McCain will appoint judges to the Supreme Court who will likely overturn Roe v. Wade. While expressing his support for the Supreme Court ruling on Guantanamo, Obama said McCain's opposition to the ruling demonstrates his likelihood to appoint ultra conservative judges to highest court.

"John McCain has basically said he would appoint judges who don't see a right to privacy, and as a consequence, would be likely to overturn Roe v Wade," Obama told a small group of supporters at a town hall meeting here, "You're just one justice away from that."

He used Senior Associate Justice, John Stevens, as an example of someone likely to retire soon and whose seat may be vacated during an Obama or McCain presidency. He also said that decisions made in lower courts will be influenced by who is elected and can "make the country a little more fair and a little less fair."

He added, "If you want to preserve civil liberties, if you want to preserve civil rights, if you want to make sure that the courts are looking out for consumers and not just big business then that should be a factor in your decision making in this election."

Earlier, Obama said he supports the Supreme Court's ruling on Guantanamo because habeas corpus is "who we are. … I mean you remember during the Nuremberg trials, part of what made us different was even after these Nazis had performed atrocities that no one had ever seen before, we still gave them a day in court and that taught the entire world about who we are."

I%u2019m no lawyer, but it sounds like there are those here who can answer my question.

Isn%u2019t there a legal concept regarding my individual right to know what the law is (and is not)? Let%u2019s say I%u2019m a rich fat cat and I want to enter a contract. I have my lawyers thoroughly vet every line to make sure it%u2019s legal. Now, the contract may not be fair to the other party, but the law says it is not unconstitutional?

In Obama%u2019s world it wouldn%u2019t matter. The court could find my contract illegal simply because it disadvantaged some less fortunate soul. And I%u2019m left holding a constitution that has no meaning%u2014none that can be relied upon, that is.

Obama%u2019s understanding of law is much like a spoiled rich kid%u2019s understanding of money- he has no idea of where it comes or how to protect it. It is simply something to be used for a combination of purposes, whether it be for his misunderstanding of %u201Csocial justice%u201D (code word for Marxism,) or crude personal self-aggrandizement. For him and his leftist post-modernist, Hegelian ilk, the law and Constitution are silly putty - you pull and stretch it anyway you want.

This makes it apparent that Obama%u2019s attitude toward the law is not the rule of law, but his personal version of social justice. He does not believe in the time tested method of changing legislation to achieve results, but instead relies on activist judges to meet what cannot be achieved in the legislature and through the ballot box. This makes Obama by far the scariest Presidential candidate, that this country has ever experienced. But the even scarier thought is the lemming personality of the people who follow this charismatic senator. The press has been totally silent on him and most people appear to be afraid to criticize him. The laxity of the main stream media has allowed Obama to define what can be talked about and what cannot, and now it appears virtually anything that is negative to him is also off limits.

"The empathy to understand what it''''s like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that''''s the criteria by which I''''m going to be selecting my judges."

Obama is talking about a Supreme Court making decisions according to the constitution, btw. That''''s exactly the point of the Guantanamo verdict. The Bushies are holding people indefinitely, without charges, refusing the right of habeus corpus. America is supposed to be better than that.

The world is all about Obama.

Obama is always right and everyone else is the bad guy.

Except he is the bad guy, pretending to be nice.

He has ran the most direst campaign than this nation has ever seen. He blames, condemns, puts down or smears, Attacks or twist others words and lies. He demands records with hope of finding something to use on someone. That is why he was called the Eliminator in Illinois.

He said he came to Unite. He has managed to split the country, vie people against others. He has split the democratic party, Now he intends to split it further with moving some to Chicago.

He Did Unite the Black Community in Solidarity.

He speared headed the campaign to hate bush, hate government. from the first day of his campaign.

He has made Americans look like fools around the world. The world is watching, they see the lies and the games he plays. The world shakes their heads in dismay thinking we are dumb.


He is conditioning peoples minds to think, act and do what he wants.

He gets to be President you can kiss America goodbye
