Possible Fundraising Problems and a VP BBQ for McCain

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:
While John McCain is hosting a barbeque this Memorial Day weekend for three people who are widely believed to be on his vice-presidential short list, he might need to be paying more attention to his fundraising. A high dollar fundraiser scheduled for this Tuesday in Phoenix with President Bush is being moved out of the Phoenix Convention Center and into a private home, according to the Phoenix Business Journal. Tickets were not selling well and there were concerns about large numbers of protestors disrupting the event.
It should be a quiet and relaxing weekend for McCain at his home in Sedona, Arizona, this weekend, as he hosts a couple of dozen guests. At least three of them are reportedly getting a hard look as a running mate – Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and former Republican rival Mitt Romney. McCain said it is not his version of running mate "Survivor." "It's having a group of friends visit us on Memorial Day," McCain said. "No more and no less."
The official head of the vice-presidential search for McCain is Arthur Culvahouse, according to The Hill. Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., said Culvahouse will be helping McCain vet candidates and develop a list of possible VP's. Culvahouse did the same job for Ronald Reagan.
