McCain Calls on Obama Campaign to Disclose Lobbying Ties

With five lobbyists having been bounced from John McCain's campaign over the past few weeks, he is now trying to move the spotlight to Barack Obama by asking him to institute the same kind of zero tolerance for lobbyists policy that his campaign recently put in place. "We wanted to make sure there was an effective policy towards lobbying," McCain said. "It is the most transparent of any in history and I challenge Sen. Obama to adopt the same policy."

The McCain campaign recently sent out a questionnaire to all of their staff members which require them to disclose any and all lobbying ties. The new policy prohibits any staffer from being a registered lobbyist or foreign agent, and even part-time volunteers have to disclose whether they are registered lobbyists or lobbying on behalf of foreign entities.

Obama's campaign has yet to respond to McCain's request, but the candidate did talk on Saturday about the turnover in McCain's staff. "[McCain] practices the same kind of politics that we've grown accustomed to in Washington," Obama said. "When I decided to run this campaign the first thing we said was we're not going to take money from PACs, we're not going to take money from federally registered lobbyists, because we want to be accountable to the American people."

"Challenges" in coming, months, years, and next decade[s].

It is very essential as well as critical that we pick our next
President keeping in mind the following criteria.


1. A candidate who has a clear and candid " Vision
and Mission" for our Nation.

2. A candidate with " Strong Character and Stable
Integrity" in-spite of adversity during our present election process.

3. A candidate with sound and sustained
"Presidential Temperament" and " Judgment".

4. A candidate with little "Washington exposure"
and "real connectedness with people and future
generation".

5. A candidate who "Inspires us up" rather than
"Tears us Down".

6. A candidate not based on sexism,
racism,regionalism,and ageism and as well as %u201C attempts to bring us together %u201C

In my professional, political and personal opinion,
the only candidate that meets the all above
characteristics and has shown constant and consistent
coolness, calmness, and connectedness { PRESIDENTIAL
TEMPERAMENT } is Senator Barrack Obama.



Our Greatgrand nation needs present and future
stability, security, safety,sustained progress and
restoration of our due status in this perilous Global
World at the all levels.

McCain, the all-but-nominated Republican presidential candidate, opposes a Democratic-backed bill that would significantly expand the breadth of education benefits for veterans, first adopted for those returning from World War II.

Democrats want the proposal included in a war spending bill the Senate is scheduled to vote on this week.

Sen. Barack Obama, McCain''''s most likely general election opponent, already has raised objections to McCain''''s resistance. And on Tuesday, a veterans'''' group that has been critical of the war in Iraq is launching an ad in Washington to pressure McCain to change his mind.

By taking issue with McCain on the subject of veterans, Democrats hope to weaken one of his biggest assets %u2014 his personal biography as a former Navy pilot who became a prisoner of the North Vietnamese and endured torture at the hands of his captors.

The legislation, sponsored by Democratic Sen. Jim Webb of Virginia and Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, also veterans of Vietnam, would guarantee full tuition payments to veterans at any public school in their home state. Its expected cost is $52 billion over 10 years.

If McCain is so on top of things, shouldn''t he have been aware of these lobbying conflicts when he hired these people in the first place - and thus, NOT hired them? Or did the issue only suddenly become important to Mr. "Straight Talk" when it became a campaign liability?

But Benchley is doing a great job carrying McCain''s water, isn''t he!

McCain & His Saudia Arabian Connection

Loeffler''s firm also has lobbied for other foreign interests and foreign governments. Newsweek reported over the weekend that Loeffler''s firm was paid $15 million by Saudi Arabia.

The news magazine also said Loeffler listed meeting McCain along with the Saudi ambassador to "discuss US-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia relations," even though Loeffler told a reporter last month that he had not discussed his clients with McCain.

All the candidates have former lobbyist working for them. However it is the kind of lobbyist and if they are active that is the question.

The telecommunications industry is intent on controlling the FCC through the next president. In large part they have infiltrated both the McCain and Clinton campaign. In my opinion this is why most of the news networks try everything they can to bring Obama down (endless loops of Wright). They do not control him and he has pledged to clean up that industry.
