Clinton Says She Has the Right Genes To Be President

(CBS)
GRAFTON, W.V. -- During a campaign stop in the hometown of the woman who started the celebration of Mother's Day 100 years ago, Hillary Clinton said that being a mother and a woman have uniquely prepared her for taking on the presidency.
"I've come to believe that hard work, determination and resilience are encoded in our DNA," she said. "We know we have the 'worrying gene', we know we have the 'put your coat on because it's cold outside gene,' but we also have the 'stand up and fight for what you believe in gene.'"
Clinton, who was joined on stage by her daughter Chelsea, shared written messages that have been sent to her over the past few weeks.
She said one person wrote: "Keep you head up and keep on in this race, keep fighting I'm with you all the way." Clinton pointed out that her favorite message came from a woman named Angela who gave Clinton courage to stay in the race, the message read: "It's not over until the lady in the pantsuit says it is."
Clinton will spend the next few days in West Virginia, leading up to Tuesday's primary here - a state where she is expected to win handily. Meantime, Barack Obama took Mother's Day off in Chicago with his family and is scheduled to be in Missouri on Tuesday, a move some are saying is a clear indication that he is already looking to the general election in the fall.
