Clinton Paints Obama as Cheerleader for McCain

JOHNSTOWN, PA. -- Hillary Clinton took Barack Obama to task at a rally in Johnstown today for some remarks he made in Reading, Pennsylvania where he points out that John McCain would be a better commander-in-chief than George Bush.

"Either Democrat would be better than John McCain," Obama said. "And all three of us would be better than George Bush."

The Clinton campaign wasted no time hitting back saying, "Senator Obama said today that John McCain would be better for the country than George Bush. Now, Senator McCain is a real American patriot who has served our country with distinction, but Senator McCain would follow the same failed policies that have been so wrong for our country the last seven years."

As the election nears, the rhetoric between the campaigns is growing increasingly heated. Clinton supporter, Rep. John Murtha D-Pa., also piled on Obama saying, "Would you believe somebody said today, one of the Democratic candidates, there's only two, said that McCain would be better commander than Bush? You're getting the same thing! You're getting the same thing if you get McCain. The same thing!"

McCain's campaign has already responded to the attacks in a written statement by campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds that says Clinton's supporters "are launching an all-out assault using blatant falsehoods that have been repudiated." The statement adds that the attack "says more about Senator Clinton than anyone else."

As a middle-aged white woman, I''m having a harder and harder time supporting Hillary Clinton for president. I want her to campaign with honesty and integrity, and focus on the important issues, not use deception to trick voters into supporting her.
Obama said, %u201CEither Democrat would be better than John McCain. And all three of us would be better than George Bush.%u201D Hillary Clinton twisted his words to this: %u201CSenator Obama said today that John McCain would be better for the country than George Bush,%u201D followed by: %u201CWe need a nominee who will take on John McCain, not cheer on John McCain%u2026%u201D

Obviously Obama is not cheerleading John McCain. Sen. Clinton%u2019s disingenuous misrepresentation of his simple and truthful observation demonstrates an essential difference between her campaign and his: Integrity. After ABC%u2019s gotcha debate last week, we need both candidates to treat us as the intelligent voters that we are.

So far, every dishonest attack on Obama from right wing pundits and the Clinton campaign has backfired. The lapel pin hoopla gave us a better understanding of why and how Obama IS patriotic, with a depth, complexity and passion many of us baby boomers feel. The Rev. Wright focus resulted in people hearing and being won over by Obama%u2019s sensible and balanced %u201Crace speech.%u201D Personally, I%u2019m surprised white men aren%u2019t flocking to Obama. How often do they hear a black man show he understands why they%u2019d be angry about the inherent reverse discrimination that comes with affirmative action?

I will vote for either Democrat candidate in the general election rather than vote for McSame. But I%u2019m afraid we could lose the momentum Obama has built with new and re-engaged voters if Sen. Clinton wins the nomination through trickery or deceit.

Hillary, please show us you can campaign with integrity. Manipulating Obama%u2019s words will not only result in a loss of the educated white women that have supported you so far, but could also lose us the general election if Obama supports defect because of your cheating tactics.

John McCain could be a better President then George W. Bush.
McCain should%u2019ve been the Republican Nominee in 2000 (or, at least the VP) but, was subject to Karl Rove Republican Swift Boat Smear Attack Campaigning.

The statement has truth, after 7-8 years of Bush/Cheney and the detrimental results of their policies, ANYONE IS A BETTER CHOICE!

40 YEARS OF CLINTON RAPING WOMEN

A 1969 charge by a Eileen Wellstone, said Clinton assaulted her after she met him at a pub near the Oxford University campus where the future President was a student.
In 1972, a 22-year-old woman told campus police at Yale University that she was sexually assaulted by Clinton, who was a law student at the college.
In 1974, a female student at the University of Arkansas complained that then-law professor Bill Clinton groped her and forced his hand inside her blouse
Broaddrick, a volunteer in Clinton''s attorney general campaign, said he raped her in 1978;
From 1978-1980, Arkansas State troopers assigned to protect the governor reported seven complaints from women who said Clinton forced, or attempted to force, himself on them sexually.
Elizabeth Ward, the Miss Arkansas who won the Miss America crown in 1982, told friends she was forced by Clinton to have *** with him shortly after she won her state crown.
Paula Corbin, an Arkansas state worker, filed a sexual harassment case against Clinton the then-governor exposed himself and demanded oral ***.
Sandra Allen James, President Clinton invited her to his hotel room during a political trip to the nation''s capital in 1991, pinned her against the wall and stuck his hand up her dress.
Kathleen Willey, a White House volunteer, reported that Clinton grabbed her, fondled her breast and pressed her hand against his genitals during an Oval Office meeting in November, 1993

As a psychiatrist, I feel obliged to say that while I can''t make any definitive conclusions, from the biographical details and watching Ms Clinton, I think she does have what we would call "Cluster B Traits" - borderline personality traits along with narcisissim. The features that she displays

a) Bouts of anger that are sudden and inappropriate, often triggered off when anyone criticizes her

b) Superficial emotions

c) Black and white thinking - either you are with me or you are against me

d) Interpretation of reality to suit her beliefs - she believes her lies

e) Feeling abandoned and rejected easily


In summary, I think she would be an unstable person to lead the most powerful country in the world.

Of the 3 candidates, Obama has the strongest psyche

Hillary Clinton is really desperate. A few weeks ago, she was saying that McCain was commander-in-chief material but Obama wasn''t. She has been feeding McCain for use in the general election. Saying that George Bush was so bad almost one would be an improvement was to state the obvious. He didn''t say that McCain and he would be better, but Clinton wouldn''t. What''s the problem? She is searching for an issue. Anything goes as Tuesday approaches. It becomes clear that she is really running for 2012. Whoever wins the White House, Obama or McCain will face an economy that is failing, an ill-waged war, and a host of other problems. Hillary is hoping that McCain wins since it will be easier to get the Democratic nomination, with an incumbent Republican president, than to wrest it from the hands of a fellow Democrat. This assumes of course that she isn''t drummed out of the Democratic Party. Perhaps if Joe Lieberman doesn''t get the VP nod from McCain we will see Clinton-Lieberman in 2012??? No wonder the majority of voters dislike her and think she is dishonest.
