Clinton Warns of Electing a President Who Is "Unready"

WASINGTON, D.C. -- Hillary Clinton warned Americans of the risks that come with electing a president who isn't up for the job. "We have seen the power of the presidency placed in hands unready or unwilling to address the tasks that lie ahead," Clinton said, referring to President Bush, and no doubt taking a veiled jab at Barak Obama.

She took time off the campaign trail in Pennsylvania to address the Newspapers of America National Annual Convention today. Both Obama and John McCain have already addressed the group of reporters.

Clinton teased the crowd of journalists at the beginning of her remarks saying that the speech was "off the record," meaning it could not be reported. She also joked that it is newspaper headlines that keep her in the campaign, pointing out the famous incorrect headline that read "Dewey Defeats Truman."

She concluded by saying, "Now I know that this campaign has gone on a long time, but elections do end and when the campaigns conclude and the banners are torn down and the speeches are finally finished, all that is left is the choice we have made."

Both of these people, when caught in their lies, laughed, shrugged their shoulders, and, with bemused expressions on their faces, suggested by their nonchalant behavior that they are above reproach. They consistently assume the position that, of course, the American people will easily forgive their lies because they are "Clintons". With every lie, they demean all of us.

Tell us why we should ever believe anything they tell us.

Tell us why they deserve our trust and admiration.

Tell us why, when they have earned $109 MILLION, and demonstrate time and again their expectations of special treatment when they violate our trust at every turn, that they should not be seen for what they are...MORE than elitist.; Reply to this comment

The points about her campaign being a shambles, disorganised and poorly planned, can possibly be blamed on lack of experience. Her inability to manage people is demonstrated by her firing the managers that she cannot manage, and is the result of incompetence, lack of leadership and a personality disorder. However, her complete lack of honesty and integrity cannot be excused and is the type of defect that cannot be repaired. Her trying to accuse her opponent of being unready, is not only very juvenile, it serves to draw attention to her own lack of abilities. She should go back to doing her job as New York Senator, which should include creating jobs and employment for her constituents. Her new title should be Hillary the Unready. Clinton was quoted saying by the Los Angeles Times in September 1991.
