Bottoms Up: Just Another Saturday Night For Clinton? Shot of Whiskey, Beer and Pizza

CROWN POINT, IND. -- Hillary Clinton mingled with patrons at Bronko's Restaurant and Lounge in northwest Indiana on Saturday night. After a long day of campaigning Clinton was cajoled into taking a shot of Crown Royal whisky, which she sipped at first, but later threw her head back and swallowed it down. That led to a few beers and some pizza.

A pizza-chomping Clinton sat at a table where she talked about the importance of keeping manufacturing jobs in the state. Clinton then called over the mayor of Hammond, Ind., Tom Hammond, saying, "Tom, Tom, come sit down." A gentleman next to Clinton said Hammond was probably at the bar. Clinton joked that "my campaign drives people to drink." Hammond finally approached Clinton, saying "every time I get around you we always start drinking!"

"That's true," Clinton said. "It is Saturday night, though."

At one point Clinton pointed out to her friends that she can't go anywhere without the press right there covering her every move. "The only other thing about having this wonderful time with you is that every bite I take is recorded for posterity," Clinton said as she ate her pizza.

"These two young people are really very, very nice," Clinton said, pointing to me and my ABC colleague. "But their job is to get something on film that looks really weird, so you know I try to accommodate them every so often," Clinton said, winking to us.

Clinton's visit to the small, local eatery was no doubt part of a broader plan to showcase Clinton as a candidate of the people. And although Clinton is no stranger to late night drinks with the press and her staff, she usually prefers red wine or the trendy wheat ale Blue Moon with a slice of orange, not the watery light beer in the glass mug she waved in the air so proudly as the crowd chanted her name.

Crown Royal?!? That%u2019s Canadian whiskey!

Shame on you Hillary. If yer gonna get drunk to show how blue collar you are, you should do it with some good ol%u2019 American booze

If someone created a website which allowed us to vote on one simple question, ''are we bitter about how things have been going here in the United States'', do you think the happy campers would ''win'' or do you think the Americans who are fed up, been pushed down, passed over and trickled on would outnumber those who prefer to wear blinders?

For Hillary to try to twist this comment is beyond her normal campaign games, it''s an act of desperation. When more google for information on her pastor and spritual advisor, Doug Coe, they may come to realize it is all a game to her. When they google through all the campaign lies alone, whether it''s bullets flying, joining the Marines or simply her stands on issues, they will realize we''ll be the losers in these games.

If you want to discuss someone out of touch or elitist, think about the string of unpaid bills Clinton has left in every state she''s been in, bills owed to small vendors. Consider why one would fork out $26,000 for an orchestra for a fundraiser yet not pay her workers'' health insurance premiums for two months.

And btw, we were fooled by a beer drinking party guy trying to act like the common man before, look where it got us. And if using that campaign game is not elitist, I''ll eat my hat.

Bush is a product of voters choosing based a president based on popularity.

Nothing says you''re a person of the people like drinking a beer before going home to your $1.5 million dollar, five-bedroom home in Westchester. Thank goodness it wasn''t geriatric, wet pantsuit night.

Hopefully you will all be able to see the full video. She first passed on the whiskeys offered (U.S. made) but when she heard "Crown Royal", a Canadian import, she was in! NAFTA, baby!!! I hope they had Elton blasting "*** is back!", while she pounded that shot!

Larry started calling obama back in I think 11/07; Donald Young called Larry back, after Larry kept calling and leaving his phone numbers and it comes out that Donald Young was a gay choir leader or something in obama''s church... Larry said that after talking to Donald, it seemed that he too had sexual dealing with obama... Donald was murdered in december of 2007....hmmmm! Larry Sinclair is consistent and has an attorney and did an interview with one of puerto rico''s big time shows...

Obama needs to answer the allegations by Larry Sinclair, which is becoming a BIG internet topic! Obama, if this is not true why haven''t you stopped this guy... If this were not true, why is it that whitehouse.com did not publish the results of the polygraph as they said they would... all they could say was that Larry fail polygraph but it seems FISHY that they did not post results as they had said they would...HMMM! Larry''s video on youtube has gotten 800,000 hits and this guy is not going away!

FYI: The mayor of Hammond Indiana is named Tom McDermott Jr. That''s who was at the bar, and he endorsed her two weeks ago when she was at the civic center there.

What a class act. Hanging out in bars and shooting whiskey with the boys. This may explain why her ratings with the good ladies of Pennsylvania, specifically white women over fifty is falling fast.
