From CBS News' Dante Higgins:

BROOKLYN, NY--After delivering remarks outlining his short term plan for dealing with the housing crisis, Senator John McCain stopped by Verrazano Pizza in Brooklyn, NY.

He walked in with a swarm of cameras and shook hands with customers as he made his way to the counter where he had to ask for help. He ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza, tried to fold it in half like a New Yorker, but came across looking more like the Arizonan he is. With a thumbs up to the chef, the AZ Senator made his way out of the pizza parlor and back onto the campaign trail. The Senator is headed to Texas for a couple of fundraisers.

yeah, colonieNY, because getting us bogged down in a two bit country like Iraq, unable to win against a constantly changing array of "enemies of the day" - stuck like a pathetic helpless pitiful giant, THAT REALLY shows those Islamo Nazi Fascists that we mean business! (sarcasm)

Meanwhile, bin Laden and the others responsible for the deaths of 3,000 Americans are still free and alive.
But I guess according to your logic, the fact that bin Laden is still alive and free must be a sign of our strength.

Sad to say, colonieNY, you''re mixing up foreign policy "strength" with stupidity.

MC Cain knows how to protect our country from Islamic Fascists, and that is what we need most.
The fact that the Democrats don''t even mention the ISlamic NAZI FAscists, is really bizarre.
We are in a war with much of the world that is stuck in the 1200s.

Anyone interested in the real John McCain? According to an article by Nick Juliano in the Huffington Post this morning John McCain is a foul mouthed, hot head prone to fits of anger and name calling even at his wife. According to Juliano three Arizona reporters witnessed McCain call his wife the C-word in front of two campaign staffers Wes Gullett and Doug Cole in 1992 bid for Senator of Arizona. The story did not surface in 1992 because at the time the reporters were busy covering McCains connection to Keating Five scandal and they did not know how to report such lurrid comments in the daily newspaper (pre-Internet). Cindy McCain apparently twirled McCain''s hair and joked that he was getting a little thin up there. McCain reportedly turned red faced and commented that "at least I don''t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you C_ _ _!" There is a book coming out next month by Cliff Schecter that details McCain''s history of flying off the handle with people and filthy name calling tactics. It will be interesting to see how women who claim to support McCain if Hillary does not win will react to the idea of McCain using the C-word about his own wife in front of others. I think Americans need a closer look at who this guy is and not just the war hero stuff.

har har...and if McCain had been a democrat his inability to hold a slice of pizza would have signified to the cloistered pundits how elitist and out of touch he was. But for media golden boy McCain, it just signifies that he''s from Arizona.

Speaking of which, the "straight talking maverick" is condemning some independent democratic groups for receiving funds from George Soros'' Open Society Institute, despite the fact that this "straight talking maverick"''s very own Reform Institute took a $150,000 grant from George Soros in 2003.

But don''t expect McCain''s base to bother reporting this act of hypocrisy.
