From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:

INDIANAPOLIS -- During this campaign, Hillary Clinton has been compared to a lot of things, even called a lot of names, but she has yet to be compared to a Biblical figure. During the question and answer period at a campaign rally in Indianapolis, a questioner compared Hillary Clinton to Queen Esther, arguing the Biblical queen reminded him of Clinton. The reference prompted me to do a search on the story of Queen Esther and as some quick research shows, Queen Esther is credited with intervening on the behalf of oppressed Jews in Persia (now Iran) during Biblical times.

"I wrote this down so I wouldn't forget," said the nervous young man, his hand shaking as he read aloud.

"When I think of Hillary Clinton, I can't help but think of Queen Esther. You were brought to this position to make a difference and to make a change and just like Queen Esther who took a stand and did what was right for the Jews, I believe you will do what's right for America." The man began his statement by saying he is a "devout Christian" and "one who reads his Bible daily."

Clinton, who stood listening to the man's comments, nodded occasionally and at one point held her hand to her heart. Clinton then told the man "You know, the story of Esther is one of my favorite stories in the Bible." Clinton added, "I'm very honored by what you said."

Perhaps some divine intervention could help Clinton in this very close contest.

Interesting that Clinton is tied with Barack amoung Jewish people that this comes up. She''s no biblical scholar. Geesh. Now let''s talk about Margaret Williams and home foreclosures.

Excuse me, but Esther never lied. She actually did risk her life, rather than make up stories about doing so. She was a women of principal and courage. Esther wasn''t afraid to be who she was - a woman. And when she was queen, she didn''t try to cash in the King''s experience and hard work. What a terrible, terrible, comparison. Worse, even than the Judas and Governor Richardson comparison.

LOL that will irritate Obama he does not like the Jewish to much.

Hillary is the best Democrat for the nominee. The only one who can go all the way and beat McCain.

The majority of Democrats want Hillary also.

Now the Queen of Sleaze morphes into Queen Esther, Queen of Jews. How quickly the country forgets names like Whitewater and the Rose Law Firm of Hilary Clinton. Names like Jim Guy Tucker, Webster Hubbell and Jim and Susan McDougal. More than 14 associates convicted of more than 40 crimes, bribery, fraud, tax evasion, conspiracy, and embezzlement.
Most were pardoned by Bill Clinton. Hilary crooked the deals, Bill pardoned the criminals. We had mysterious suicides and an endless stream of individuals from Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey and Monica Lewinsky that were used and abused without so much as an apology. Their personal characters were assassinated and their lives ruined in the most disgusting period of American History ever witnessed. She will always be the Queen of Sleaze.

But with Obama you get three for the price of one. All three are racists with their Black Liberation theology, anti-American with the God *** America rantings and only proud when voting for Obama, and African-centric with their proclamations about the "mother land". This also demonstrates his lying when he says he will be the uniter of all Americans. Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, that was Bush back in 2000.

truth-hurts,

Truth be told the only way I would ever vote for Lil'' Hillary is IF (note BIG if) she somehow lucked out and actually won the nomination(smirk, smirk, smirk--cannot see that happening)and then made it clear that former President Clinton would be put in charge of energizing the American economy. Otherwise she''s just a lil'' woman with no clue about economics or military planning/management.

Wow I have never been so amazed, as a convert to Judaism not taken mitzvah. This was a major puzzle since Esther was never a seasoning politician, or accused of cheating, or ambition. I think the one better fit is Haaman whose gallows he built turned out to be his own.
