McCain Camp Pre-buts Obama Economic Speech

The back-and-forth on the economy continues between John McCain and Barack Obama today as the McCain campaign went on the offensive before Obama delivered an address in New York City.

"No amount of rhetoric can hide Senator Obama's clear record of embracing the liberal tax and spend, big government policies that hit hardworking American families at a time when they're most vulnerable, and are certain to move America backward," McCain spokesperson Tucker Bounds said in a written statement released this morning.

While Hillary Clinton, Obama and McCain have laid out their plans for handling America's struggling economy. McCain made his pitch in Los Angeles yesterday arguing that it wasn't the government's role to bail banks and speculators out regarding the housing crisis.

Obama delivered a speech yesterday too and he went after McCain for a lack of specifics on the economy and accused McCain of a "sit back and watch" approach.

"Now I have to say John McCain has admitted that he doesn't understand the economy as well as he should, and yesterday he proved it in a speech he gave on the housing crisis," Obama said.

"According to John McCain he said the best thing for us to address the fact that millions of Americans are losing their homes is to just sit back and watch it happen."

The McCain camp launched back after his speech, accusing Obama of using smear tactics.

"Senator Obama's blatant mischaracterizations aren't the new politics he's promised America, they're the old attack and smear tactics that Americans are tired of," McCain spokesman Bounds said in a written statement.

McCain is in Utah and Colorado for private fund-raisers today and is expected to hold a couple of press conferences.

Unfortunately for Hillary--she can''''''''t catch a break, soon to potentially break in the news is the story before the California appeals court which could DeLay her candidacy for good. this time evidence shows that Hillary (HERSELF ONCE AGAIN)was involved. At issue is a 250K donation made to her senatorial campaign. Her staff said she had no knowledge of it, so she was not roped into the scandal when her campaign mgr faced charges of hiding that money from the IRS.

Unfortunately VIDEO may again place Hill in deep doo, doo. It seems there is a video tape recording her discussing the fund raiser with the donors (on it, she talks about who would be there and what they will do) this means she performed what is known as a direct campaign request. donations from donors for that kind of request are limited to 25K. Since the donation was for 250K, that would be considered campaign fraud.

Woe is Hillary and Damnnnn those videos and tape recordings that make being a great liar so hard to keep up these days!!! ROTFLMAO.

For the other 80%, please get on board with us and help us end this. We know who won this fight, it is time to start the healing and get behind this wonderful candidate! Please take another look at Obama...it isn''t like you are switching teams, we are all Americans.

These special interests don''t stand a chance against the over 1.2 million small donors like us. Help us grow that database and take be a part of the calvary that takes America away from those special interests that Hillary and McCain both rely so heavily on! After all it is all about the Supreme Court Justices, if McCain gets in, we are going to have some pretty tough times ahead for all of us.

Some people are willing to give up their lives for the good of this country... are you willing to swallow your pride for the good of it?

by truman_plan March 27, 2008 2:07 PM EDT: McCain sounds and acts civilized, very civilized. It is like a breath of fresh air has come into the house of politics.

On the other hand, we have Axelrod and R. Martin (radio jock in Chicago) who rants and screams of "racism" is at every corner or nuance of Obama''s mistakes. Axelrod and R. Martin want "racism" a central core of this campaign.

The issue is not about race or "racism". It is about culture, African American culture in the inner city. Once again Obama is trying to blame others for the failings of his own cultural community - the inner city. Inner city failings such as high crime rate, high drug usage, lowest drop out rate from high school, highest level of teen pregnancy, domestic abuse, rappers who idealize violence, highest level of child abuse, highest demands for more entitlement, Black militant churches, who may be a conduit to Democrats campaigns and funds by militant fundamental Islam etc. Obama should first endeavor to clean up his house before he attempts to clean up the White House.

Yes, McCain is a breath of fresh air. I may even vote for him, but not yet, not quite yet. Therefore I remain undecided.; Reply to this comment


by leef531 March 27, 2008 1:51 PM EDT: Gemstone: No one cares about Rev Wright, as no one care about Jerry Falwell, John Hagee, or Pat Robertson. Even the Clinton pastor for that matter. Religion and State is seperate...as written in the Constitution. This is OLD NEWS, stupid, and over the top. Obama has done nothing wrong. Clintons however....have spent many hours on the witness stand, on several occassions, on several subjects, over the years reciting "I don''t recall" or out right lying. There are 116 UCC churches in Chicago and dozen with in miles from Obama''s home. Why this anti American ideals church? WOW it takes Fox, ABC and MSNBC to all air it before we get one word on CNN. Also the news finally being reported about the anti American statements that America is run by white racists. Yet still he supports the pastor and this church. A MONTH, COME ON GUYS REALLY?
