Obama Accuses Clinton of "Bankrolling" Re-Vote

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Hillary Clinton's campaign is hitting Barack Obama on two fronts today, releasing his records and primary re-voting. "Senator Obama speaks passionately on the campaign trail about empowering the American people," Clinton said. "I am urging him to match those words with actions, to make sure states like Michigan and Florida have a voice and a vote in the next election."

The Obama campaign responded that Clinton is trying to buy the primaries. They cite a letter from Gov. Jon Corzine, D-N.J., and Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., written to Gov. Jennifer Granholm, D-Mich., that offers to pay for the re-vote. "This letter from some of Clinton's biggest campaign contributors eliminates any pretense that Clinton's efforts in Michigan are about anything other than an attempt to bankroll an election in which they appear more than happy to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of voters," said Obama spokesman Bill Burton. "Today's events are even more evidence that Clinton is willing to do absolutely anything to get elected."

And on the heels of Hillary Clinton releasing her public schedules from her days as First Lady, the Clinton campaign is calling on Barack Obama to release his documents from his time in the Illinois state senate. Obama has said previously he didn't keep files for several years as a state senator because of space limitations.

Back on the campaign trail, Obama will deliver the third in a trifeca of policy speeches today, this one concerning the economy. He heads to West Virginia later this morning to give the speech at the University of Charleston.

Tax returns are STATED income, and subjective to the preparation of the forms, IF this is ALL the Obama Freaks have then they ARE in trouble! By the way, those who say Obama "threw his grandmother under the bus". That''s absurd. You are speaking out of both sides of your mouth. How can you scorn him for not disowning Jeremiah Wright and feel like he should have stuck by his mother who has made some of the same harsh comments about black people? That''s a double standard. He was basically saying he loves and cherishes them both. He understands that they are from a different time and are dealing with issues of bitterness that he hopes the next generation can transcend.; Reply to this comment

Clinton is not being honest about Obama holding up a re-vote. As it relates to the issue of Bill Clinton and the fact that he has been "forgiven" by many democrats, I would agree with that. But Republicans are not so forgiving. Obama, right now, is dealing with comments made by someone else. Those comments, while horrible, do not speak for him as a person and what he believes in. Black churches do a lot more good than they do bad. That''s why you don''t abandon a church for the 5 or 10% that''s bad. This issue has been blown out of proportion because white people are not used to hearing bad things said about them in the media. Black people hear it all the time. We''re lazy and on welfare, benefited from affirmative action more than white people benefited from slavery, listen to rap music and call each other Ho and B****. Ridiculous! Racist stereotypes are destroying this country. It''s time we unify behind a president who is both black and embraces all races of people. The Republicans will not play the race card nearly as effectively as Hillary in a general election.
