Obama Accuses Clinton of Using "Republican Tactics"

From CBS News' Maria Gavrilovic:

JACKSON, MISS. -- Barack Obama continued to go after Hillary Clinton this evening, accusing her of using "Republican tactics" against him.

"When in the midst of a campaign you decide to throw the kitchen sink at your opponent because you're behind," he said, "and your campaign starts leaking photographs of me when I'm traveling overseas wearing the native clothes of those folks to make people afraid, and then you run an ad talking about who's going to answer the phone at three in the morning, an ad straight out of the Republican playbook, that's not real change."

Tonight's comments were the most direct criticism from Obama regarding the distribution of the photo of him in traditional African garb. The Clinton campaign denied having anything to do with the photos when they were initially published, and the issue seemed to have faded until Obama brought it up tonight.

The two Democratic contenders have ramped up the rhetoric in recent weeks. Last Thursday, Clinton's campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson accused Obama of using "Ken Starr"-type tactics, alluding to the independent counsel that led to the impeachment of Bill Clinton. The Clinton campaign was upset about Obama's camp pushing reporters to ask about the Clinton's tax returns. The Obama campaign called those allegations "absurd."

A large crowd of mostly supporters booed whenever Obama mentioned Clinton's name. As he often does, Obama began his criticism of Clinton by expressing his respect for her. However, despite the polite introduction, he quickly turned on her, saying that she accepts money from lobbyists, wavered on NAFTA, and is part of the status quo in Washington.

"Everybody always asks 'well, how come you haven't already wrapped this up? Well, it's because there are a lot of very powerful people who are doing very well under the existing system," he said. "So they resist. They've got power and they've got money. But what we've got are the American people."

Let''s put this racist nonsense to rest immediately. I am a white person. Contrary to what the media and Ferraro promote, this election is not about race. I would vote for the HEART & MIND that is Sen. Obama if it were in a white, or Asian, or Native American, etc. of either gender. Sen. Obama is the real deal, and I pretty much feel sorry for people who choose to consider this election in terms of race. I am a person who happens to be white who supports the candidacy of a person who happens to be black.

Hillary use every trick including the very dirty. She is just bent on spinning us all but thank God Americans are wiser now. She agreed not to campaign in Florida but went ahead to do just that and claimed it was Fund-Raising! Now she wants the delegates? We are not fooled.

Obama accuses Hillary - WHAT! Whose campaign came up with four erroneous and inflamatory pages of garbage that they intended to throw at Hillary until they were called on it during the debates? Answer: OBAMA. Who lied repeatedly in an effort to ingratiate himself among members of the black community? Answer: OBAMA. Read it for yourself - http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/saywhat.asp

Of course Hillary uses Republican Tactics. Hillary Rodham Clinton learned all she knows of Republican Tactics from her father, Republican Senator Rodham. Like fahter, like daughter. A chip off the old block. You can take the girl out of the Republican party, but you cannot take the Republican DNA out of the girl.

I have not seen anything about obama that will make me vote for him. He:
1. is naive
2. a wimp
3. deals in double talk
4. is too obsessed with self image
5. exploits racial undertones
6. is arrogant
7. has poorly thought out plans for health care, Iraq, economy.

If not Hillary, let it be McCain, so be it.

I read these pages and I see raw emotion--where is the thought before the blog? I go to every site indicated in these blogs and read for myself. I go to factchecker.org to get the truth on spin. I do not want to make a mistake in choosing this president. I challenge others to do the same. I will not give my candidate''s name--only plead that others research for themselves. The media lost objectivity years ago. There is not Cronkite to give the facts. Find them for yourself--A real search will lead you to my candidate.

Clinton''s fraud trial has already begun:
"While Hillary Clinton battles Barack Obama on the campaign trail, a judge in Los Angeles is quietly preparing to set a trial date in a $17 million fraud suit that aims to expose an alleged culture of widespread corruption by the Clintons and the Democratic Party."

And what about her top adviser?:
Mark Penn is not just a heavy hitting PR person, he''s an uscrupulous PR person, giving advice to clients such as the tobacco industry, instructing them on how to target inner city minorities via smokers rights groups, blackwater on how to effectively respond to questions from the 911 commission, and advising subprime lending groups on how to move forward with their agendas and deflect fallout.

Voters need to educate themselves before casting their final vote.

Obama clearly voted present all those times to avoid leaving a trail that his opponents could use to attack him. To me, that''s an exhibition of extreme ambition and a lack of commitment which sets a lot of warning flags flying. The Rezko thing is another red flag.

I don''t think he''s ready to be president yet. I think he has a lot to learn. I''m not voting for him. Period.

Wish all those Obama backers who keep harping at others to do their "homework" would do theirs on Obama''s dirty tactics in Illinois. Check out how he became a State Senator. Check out how he got to "sponsor" and take credit for other Senators'' bills, thereby inflating his "accomplishments". Check out how he got to be a U.S. Senator, by using his false accomplishments, dirty tricks against the opposition, and the bragadocious support of the same powerful Illinois State Senator who engineered his getting credit for other Senators'' bills. Obama may be about CHANGE now, when it is a hugely popular and desirable issue, but he has been just another down-and-dirty politician, and undoubtedly still is. Do your homework!! AlphaOverdawg. Semper Fi!!
