Romney: McCain Thought About Being Kerry's Running Mate

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. -- At a small airport rally here, Mitt Romney was in the middle of criticizing John McCain's legislative record when someone in the audience shouted, "He's a Democrat!"

"I don't think McCain's a Democrat … but I do recall a story that he was thinking about being John Kerry's running mate—he gave that some thought," Romney said.

"Had someone asked me that question, there would not have been a nanosecond of thought about it. It would've been an immediate laugh. And of course, if someone asked him if he would consider me as a running mate, he would have also laughed immediately."

The Romney campaign has argued that McCain is not a true conservative. It has gleefully highlighted McCain's endorsement by the liberal New York Times editorial board and Bill Clinton's recent comment that the Arizona senator has a very friendly relationship with his wife Hillary.

"So, we are different," Romney said at this morning's rally. "I'm conservative."

John McCain is not a "true conservative" as he claim--he is. His association with some hard core democrats proves John is "liberal." I would not be surprise if he chosed "lieberman" to be his running mate. :)

Mitt is right on about McCain.

Paul Weyrich, founder of National Right to Life said yesterday that if McCain is elected, he will fight the Right on everything. Paul has promised not to vote GOP if McCain is nominated, joining Rush Limbaugh and, incidentally, myself.

Next John McCain will be claiming that the Olympics were really not in trouble before Romney took over.

McCain has become so desperate, he is eroding his own credibility, and has become himself the ultimate "flipflopper". McCain now touts his economic expertise when only a short time ago he admitted that he didn''t know much about the subject. McCain relies heavily upon his military "leadership" as making him the best man for Commander In Chief. Yet, he recently criticized Mitt Romney for stating that the President of the United States should have a private plan, benchmarks and timetable for Iraq. McCain apparently wants the American people to elect him President and put him in charge of the war in Iraq without McCain having any
plan or time table for accomplishing that plan.

How can McCain claim to be qualified to be President because he is a military "leader" when he apparently has no plan or timetable winning in Iraq and bringing our troops home?

Whether you look at the economy or the war in Iraq, McCain''s own statements show he is not qualified to be President.

Mitt Romney can not be trusted. He will say anything and pay anything to win. Just look at the debate, Romney cheated. Do you want someone dishonest and deceptive as our president? Don''t believe me?
