Huckabee Avoids Question on Creationism

(CBS)
From CBS News' Joy Lin:

GREER, S.C. – Mike Huckabee was asked today about his view on teaching creationism in schools but he dismissed the question saying, "We've answered that so many times, I don't even want to talk about it."

"Clearly a president would have leverage..." the reporter continued.

"No it wouldn't," retorted Huckabee.

"You think so?" the reporter asked.

"Let me explain how education works. You probably don't realize. Governors handle education. But governors don't even get into the curriculum of the schools. I was a governor ten and a half years. Ask the people of Arkansas how many times I wrote curriculum for the eighth grade textbooks. So why would I do it as president if I didn't do it as governor?" asked Huckabee.

Huckabee said he had been selected to be chairman of the Education Commission of States for two years and, as Chairman of National Governors, helped redesign the curriculum of high schools.

"It never came up, designing the curriculum for science text books," said Huckabee. "You guys are fascinated with that, but I have not met a single individual citizen in all of America yet in all the states I've traveled that said I'm really worried you're going to tinker with the science text books for the eighth graders."

The creationism issue has followed Huckabee since he raised his hand during a debate back in May when the candidates were asked if they don't believe in evolution.

He explained his affirmative response to MSNBC's Chris Matthews shortly afterwards saying, "If you want to believe that you and your family came from apes, I'll accept that....I believe there was a creative process."

"We shouldn't indoctrinate kids in school," he added. "I wouldn't want them teaching creationism as if it's the only thing that they should teach."

Question:
Would you like to own a brand new high definition 60" LCD / Plasma TV with reclining chair with large cup holder for your cold beverage of your choice?

Answer:
Huckabee! He is the ONLY candidate out of the presidential field willing to implement the "Fair-Tax" system.

Look at your paycheck and see how much they are taking out of your paycheck for taxes... go ahead go look at it now.

Now take the cost of a brand new 60" LCD / Plasma high def TV and reclining chair (& cup holder) and divide that number by how much taxes they are taking out.

Example:
$3,000 (TV cost, chair) / $325 tax holding each week = 8 weeks

That''''s it, only 8 weeks to get this great deal!!!

But if you vote for any other candidate it will take years to save up for this! Say you put away $10 each week, well that''''s 4 years!

So if you want to become poorer then vote for McCain, Romney, Thompson, Guiliani, Paul, Clinton, Obama, Edwards..... but if you want to become richer vote for Huckabee!

Huckabee is an evolution-denier. That means he knows less about science than a grammar school student. It also means he''s not very intelligent. His other obvious problem is he could never be trusted to respect our wall of separation between church and state. It would be a disaster for the entire world if this ignorant hick is elected to be president of the United States.

Eminent researchers have concluded that Mr. Huckabee''s FairTax is not only doable ( http://*****.com/fairtaxslate SLATE magazine post) but must be done in order to bring visibility to the economy in order that taxpayers bring pressure upon congressional spending ( http://*****.com/meltdowninprogress ).

McCain, Romney, Thompson, Guiliani, Paul = 2 years
Huckabee = Only 3 weeks

That''s how long it would take you to save up for a brand new 60^ LCD / Plasma Flat Screen TV with reclining chair and large cup holder for your nice cold beverage if they were President.

Huckabee is the ONLY one willing to scrap the IRS red tape and switch to the Fair tax. The Fair tax allows you to keep 100% of your paycheck, not 70% you keep of it now. If you make say $75,000 year then your paycheck rises by $325 per week and in ONLY 3 weeks you can buy that awesome 60" LCD / Plasma TV to watch your favorite TV shows (Super Bowl, World Series, World Championship, Indianpolis 500, Olympics, etc...)

If you do not mind flushing an extra $325 every week down the toliet, then go ahead and vote for McCain, Romney, Thompson, Guiliani and Paul want to keep the current tax system. That gives them far less pressure to be try to run a lean government.

The Fair Tax can ONLY happen if you and your friends and family vote for Huckabee. He is the ONLY presidentail candidate commiting to this for the American people. Would you rather flush $325 every week down the toliet or would you rather save that up in ONLY 3 weeks and get that brand new 60" LCD / Plasma high definition TV with recliner and cup holder! :)

Vote for McCain, Romney, Thompson, Guiliani and Paul if you want to become Poorer.

VOTE FOR HUCKABEE if you want to become Richer!!!
