Thompson: "Let's Go Out And Shock The World"

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA -- As the rumors swirl about Fred Thompson possibly dropping out of the race, his first event on the day of the Iowa caucuses was packed with over 200 enthusiastic supporters.
Many of those at the Marriott in West Des Moines were out of state volunteers who have traveled here to help make the final push in Iowa. They heard Thompson give his standard stump speech, while his advisers on the ground strongly denied Thompson will get out if he finishes poorly tonight.
Although at least one admitted the continued speculation "isn't helpful," Thompson ended his speech on a high note. Take a look at the video below:
