Romney Jokes With His "Running Mate"

(CBS)
EARLY, IOWA -- Mitt Romney was speaking to about 75 voters at a restaurant in Early, Iowa, when an older gentleman with thin wisps of white hair snuck up beside him.
Romney appeared a bit startled. He shook the man's hand and said, "This is my candidate for vice president. This is actually John McCain. You've got his same haircut, and I couldn't resist."
During the Q and A session, a man in the audience asked Governor Romney, "What are you going to do about environmentalists? Are you afraid to go up against the environmentalists?"
"You know, I'm not afraid to go up against anybody," Romney said. "Look at me, I'm going up against John McCain and Rudy Giuliani and all these guys. If I can go up against them, I can go up against just some little environmentalists."
Romney then changed his tone a bit.
"But I have to tell you, I believe in keeping the environment clean and I believe in having a healthy planet, but I believe there are some extreme environmentalists who take their positions so far that they sacrifice the needs of humanity," he said.
Romney said that the U.S. needs to get serious about drilling for oil domestically and expanding coal-burning plants that can sequester carbon dioxide.
