Barack Obama and John McCain will participate in one-on-one interviews during halftime of next week's installment of ESPN's "Monday Night Football," the Associated Press reports.

The interviews, set to be taped via satellite at some point earlier on Monday, will air during halftime, ESPN says. Voters who have not voted early or absentee go to the polls the following day.

The interviews will be conducted by ESPN's Chris Berman.

"Monday Night Football" has averaged 12.2 million viewers this season, the AP notes. Obama appeared on the program in December of 2006, when his hometown team, the Chicago Bears, was playing.

"I am ready," Obama said then, a reference to speculation that he would run for president. He then put on a Bears cap and added, "for the Bears to go all the way, baby!"

Next you''ll be seeing SPAM chain letters from McCain saying you have to vote Republican and forward the letter to 10 people, or you''ll lose your job and your cat will run away.

haha!!

Why are these elections called a horserace? It''s more like a stampede - away from incompetent Republicans.

notmudrose1,

Come on! Let''s be kind to our elders. Also, we should show kindness to those who are inferior in their knowledge, skills and performance. They have feelings too.

By the way Mattcat25 it''s spelled PITTSBURGH!!!! And not only would McSenile have to ask what is on the players heads, he''d have no idea what a STEELER is. After all, he''s never had to really do a blue collar job in his life

Mattcat22,

Of course, veracity and actual facts are unimportant to Rush Limbaugh. He got rich spewing radical right wingnut propoganda. He says whatever makes radical right wingnuts happy and they, in turn, assure his wealth.

According to history and Professional Football Experts (like Rush Hudson Limbaugh), if the Washington Redskins win on the Sunday before the Election the incumbent President will retain their seat but, if the Redskins were to lose the game the challenger will take the election.

The Washington Redskins will not be playing on Sunday this year it will be the Monday Night Game against the Pittsburg Steelers. There is no incumbent President running for office but, one would think of John McCain as the sitting or, continuing Administration.

In 2004 the Redskins defeated the Detroit Lions on Sunday November 7. But, Senator John Kerry actually was the winner in that election.

In 2000 the Redskins lost to the Arizona Cardinals 15-16 but, the Vice President Al Gore actually won that election also.

I guess Rush Limbaugh again doesn%u2019t really know anything about anything!
