New Obama Ad Suggests "American Dream Is Fading"

The Obama campaign has released a new ad, "Better Off," which casts America's present economic situation in a strongly negative light. "We need a new direction – now," Obama says in the spot.

It will air in "key states."

"The highest unemployment in seven years," an announcer says as the spot opens. "A record one million homes in foreclosure. Financial markets in turmoil. Wages declining. Food and gas prices soaring."

Then Obama can be heard speaking.

"For too many, the American dream is fading," he says. The middle class is struggling. We simply can't afford more of the same. We need a new direction – now. And that's why I'm running for president."

Well it will certainly die if Obama gets in office and punishing Americans for being successful.

Honestly who cares who this woman supported for President? She is a human being and her family must be suffering terribly right now. I am not sure who needs prayers more--Rep Jones or the morally bankrupt people who wish her ill because of her political beliefs.

Forget it. There will be NO tape. LA TIMES endorsed OB. It is far more important for them to let America go down the drain than to show us the truth. They know the election would be over. I mean done. Kaput. They know it. Now, I will say if they had a similar tape of McCain it would be all over the Eastern Elite Media "in the interest of America."
Come on. Show us the tape. We are strong enough to take it. You already published the story. So, no tape, we just assume your story is true. Another radical connection. The tape could prove us wrong, however. Sad day that America will choose a socialist just because they are mad at Bush. That is very logical thinking. Mad usually gets you in trouble. Clouds the thinking.
By the way, tks FOX News for putting McCain on for 30 mins tonight. At least you did not interrupt the World Series. Thanks.

How can there be an American Dream when the media is not fair. Why isn''t the Los Angeles Times releasing the videotape of the 2003 farewell bash in Chicago at which Barack Obama lavished praise on Rashid Khalidi former mouthpiece for master terrorist Yasser Arafat? Because it shows Obama standing next to Bill Ayers? Now that would damage Obama severely and since LA Times opening supports Obama they won''t release the tape.

Love it!!!! About time financial markets are in turmoil. Let those greedy bugger pay the price. Forclosures?? Hey, if they couldn''t afford them, or planned ahead they shouldn''t have signed their name on the dotted line. As for gas prices going up?? Where has this man been?? Gas here is DOWN $2.50/gallon!!!!

Credibility2,

If you don''t know enough about what the volatility in the markets means that you think the DOW up over 800 today is indicative a long term upward cycle...what can I even say to you?

Well, let''s put it this way...I would be call others "intellectually limited"

LOL

The two recently apprehended skinheads planned to take the hatred and vindictiveness of the McCain/Palin campaign to its final, logical step.

That would be the one step further that Ashley Todd, the white woman campaign operative who made up the story of being mugged and brutalized by a black Obama supporter just three news cycles ago, had also been willing to provoke. (Remember Ashley? PITTSBURGH, Oct. 24 - McCain Worker Made Up Attack Story - To Be Charged With Making False Report).

Rogue actors, sure!

But they have been shown the way, and incited to their actions, by the rhetoric of Sarah Palin and John McCain, - who%u2019s gutter campaign tactics have been bringing just this element to the surface at their rallies these past weeks.

And that is the point.

This McCain-style campaign from the gutter must not be rewarded with victory at the polls, but rather, must be soundly defeated on Nov 4th, election day, just 7 days from today!

Socialism, socialism, socialism.
Americans have been paying taxes forever, moving the wealth around to benefit the country as a whole. Obama is proposing those who have more pay a little more and those who have less, pay a little less. Obama is proposing to close the loopholes that have allowed corporations to reap huge benefits and send your job overseas.
Stop acting like parrots, mechanically tossing back the same words McCain and Palin squawk. I thought America was a place where we all pitch in and lend a hand.
Socialism? Pffft.

In the last two Bush elections, Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Big Tobacco bankrolled Bush to the hilt.

No complaints from Republicans, as a small oligarchy of corporations bought the US Presidency away from 300 million Americans!

This succeeded because we didn''t do enough to support Gore''s & Kerry''s campaigns & help them defeat the Republican sleaze machine.

They lost, and we, the people, lost big time - Republican-made disasters just keep on breaking down on us every day!

But we''ve learned from that experience - today, more than 3 million citizens have donated, and tens of thousands are working day & night for Obama.

By the sheer cumulative power of this huge public response, we will enable Obama/Biden to win this campaign, and to beat the sleaze machine of McCain/Palin/Rove & Fox News.
