Obama, Bill Clinton To Campaign Together

CBS News has confirmed that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama have planned a joint appearance before Election Day. Politico first reported the news.

The former president, whose wife lost a hard-fought primary to Obama, has not always had kind words for the Democratic nominee.

At one point, he compared Obama's experience level to his own in 1988, when he decided not to run, because "I really didn't think I knew enough, and had served enough and done enough to run." He called Obama's candidacy a "fairytale" and compared it to that of Jesse Jackson, which was seen as a slight by Obama loyalists.

But Clinton, who, as Politico notes, "moved slowly toward a full-throated endorsement this summer," has since offered kind words for his wife's former rival.

"Barack Obama is ready to lead America and restore American leadership in the world. Ready to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States," Clinton said at the Democratic National Convention. "Barack Obama is ready to be President of the United States."

Details about the joint appearance on the stump – the first for the pair – have not yet emerged.

UPDATE: A Democratic source tells CBS News the joint appearance will be Wednesday night in Orlando, Florida, and that Hillary Clinton will not be present.

We need to shrink govt and get govt off our backs --- McCain can do that. Obama will grow govt to incredible heights and we will be taxed to death in his 2nd year. Just wait and see. He''s BUYING your votes now with a pitiful tax refund but you''ll be giving more than double that amount back 2 yrs from now. Don''t be fooled. This is an old trick and I''ve seen it so many times before. Shrink the fed govt by choosing McCain and the middle class, you and me, can keep more of our hard earned paycheck. Wise up and don''t be fooled by this pitiful refund.

This is the United States of America and if Senator Obama wins the U.S. Government will return to normal and work the way it was designed to work in the U.S. Constitution, as a Democracy and not a Dictatorship. Those angry mobs you mention are U.S. Citizens, Americans, a civilized people and not refugees or foreign objects.

As of today per Obama Joe isn''t allowed to speak at all..
I think Joe wishes he had never accepted the VP spot - he''s also running for his senate seat just in case his guy doesn''t pull it out, nothing like covering your butt.
I will say Joe was right re a crisis - the world outside our borders know Obama''s a fake with N.P.D. - narssistic personality disorder: symptoms: Calm, Cool, Collected, Organized, Arrogant, Always has prepared speeches, Never gets off cue so as not to mess up - never says anything of substance just trys to get the crowds in a trance so as not to be found out..Of course behind closed doors smokes like a freight train, even CNN reporters on his plane sadi the stench in the plane and on Obama was almost unbearable in cramped quaters..Obama said now isn''t a good time to try to quit smoking - too stressful. What will he do in a crisis - turn to cocaine again??

We should have stayed in Afghanistan, that''s where Osama is, we only left because Sadam started talkin'' smack and George Bush got mad and said "this is a man who tried to kill my daddy". That is when we sent the troops to Iraq. We had no business over there, we could have had Osama by now! Republicans are always changing the subject to fit their agenda, enough is enough!!!

Oh Bill you know you don''t like Obama....Who made you do this lol
Obama, is to keep General Powell as an advisor, If elected and wants to re-start the draft. Perhaps its

time since enlistment is at an all time low. He also wants to send troops to Afghanistan but take them out of Iraq. I sure will be glad when all this is over lol.
You think he likes you ? lol He treated Hillary so bad how can you do this lol

"Why are some Democrats worried that Mr. Obama may not necessarily be headed to the White House?

For starters, the American people like to have checks and balances. With predictions that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will grow their liberal power bases in the House and the Senate, more Americans than reflected in various polls may decide to apply the brakes to an Obama presidency.

And I know you%u2019ve heard this before, experience does matter. Joe Biden may have inadvertently made that case for John McCain when he recently said that the world will test Barack Obama in six months. %u201CThe world is looking,%u201D he said. %u201CWatch, we%u2019re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.%u201D I feel the American People should not have to go through this again.

Thank you for not airing the Joe Biden interview with the Orlando Centinnel.....we don''t want people to know that Biden isn''t sure what Obama stands for. Of course FOX is all over it. Why is it they want everyone to know the truth? Lucky for your viewers ... they aren''t required to think, just nod and believe they know what''s going on. Good job CBS, you''ve got many people hood winked. With your continued effort we will have a president soon that we will come to regret. CBS and other Obama stations will be jumping ship and trying to act like they had nothing to do with him being elected president. I''ll be watching for your back-tracking.

Well, it looks like the witch hunt backfired on the Repulbicans the one they held in the 90''s.

They should have listened to America but instead they told us they would decide.

How is that working out for you deciders still think you are more powerful than the swing voter.
