Palin To Appear On SNL?

By

Sarah Palin
As Saturday Night Live viewers well know, Tina Fey's much-talked-about impression of GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has not been kind to the Alaska governor. It may even have played a role in fixing the public perception of the candidate, which, at least until last week's vice presidential debate, has largely been on the decline since she exploded onto the national scene.

Now the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Palin may appear on Saturday Night Live herself, potentially to make fun of Fey's American Express commercials. Bill Zwecker reports that while some McCain staffers want Palin to simply keep joking about Fey's impression on the campaign trail – she wrote "I'm not Tina Fey" on one backer's cell phone – others believe it is important that she appear on the show herself.

Palin would be far from the first candidate to appear on SNL after an unflattering portrayal. Earlier this year, Hillary Clinton appeared on the show standing next to an identically-dressed Amy Poehler, who had mockingly portrayed her, presumably to show she is in on the joke.

Do not confuse a war hero with a good president. Was Ulysses S. Grant a good president? He was a true war hero, graduated higher in his military academy than 894 out of 899 like McCain. they both have bank corruption on their resumes. Honor their war efforts, not the politics.

McCain says he knows how to win the war, ergo telling the generals what to do. Obama will listen to the generals that knows what is going on and how to do the right thing.

McCain linked to private group in Iran-Contra case, the U.S. Council for World Freedom which was part of an international organization linked to former Nazi collaborators and ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America.

I am not sure about SNL...we have AL franken running for senate here in Minnesota I wish he would have stayed at SNL and drove their ratings into the ground...it took SArah Palin to rescue their failing ratings...If they did not have good people to make fun of what would they do??? ...Good for her that she is fighting back...they have bashed Palin since she came out of the gate...time for her to do some BASHING...average citizens know that the Mainstream mass media mind manipulators are for Obama-they think if they get some Hollywod stars to tell people to vote they will vote democratic- they have to use crude comedians to "INSPIRE" people to vote- one comedian- who looks like the twin of Amy Winehouse says she will take her bra off under her clothes while she waits for you to register to vote...umm...she will also have to wait til I am done puking...Ellen"God Bless America"Degeneres asks the potential voter to stop looking at internet porn long enough to vote??? WHAT HAVE WE COME TO?? THIS IS THE WAY THEY INSPIRE CITIZENSHIP????

Palin should absolutely go on SNL! Hillary and McCain both showed they have a sense of humor about their public images. Palin should do the same and show people she can laugh at herself.

McCain was 100% exonerated of all charges in the Keating 5, as was John Glenn. By bringing it up now, Obama is showing a desperation to win at all costs, even if it means being completely dishonest and deliberately misleading the public. I''m disgusted.

PugHenry3 - If serving in the military, is the only way that qualifies someone to be Commander-In-Chief then I should be President of the U.S. However, that is not what the issues are about. You are right that John Glenn is a true hero to this nation, but what you fail to realize is that just like John Glenn, John McCain was involved with a scandal that brought down other Senators. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see what is happening today is the same problems we faced back in 1989 where the government once again has to bail out the banking industry. There is no implication on my part that McCain has something to do with this new crisis in this country. However, being part of the Washington establishment since the 1980''s somehow does make you a culprit with what is going on. John McCain can make a stand for either he had no idea what was happening which would then make him seem out of touch. If he indicates that he knew what was going on, then why didnt he do anything to stop this problem? So before you start trashing Barack Obama for his lack of experience think about John McCain and his experience, and where we are today because of the so called Washington experience.

Yeah, let''s not talk about how the Keating 5 scandel eerily resembles the finacial crisis we are having right now. Just stick your head back in the sand and maybe by Nov 4 it will all go away. The last time I checked it was McCain running for President, not John Glenn. But, with how this campaign has slid, I''ll take John Glenn hands down. And, FYI, in 1989 Phoenix New Times reporter Tom Fitzpatrick stated McCain was the "most reprehensible" of the Keating 5 as he had not only political ties, but close social ones as well. Our economy is in the toliet and the Republicans with their claim to wanting "small government" has not only been party to this crisis, but allowed this goverment to swell beyond recognition. Thanks Bush/Cheney. With McCain/Palin it will be more of the same. Where''s Mccain suspending his campaign to ''save America'' from this crisis? Oh, he''s at the " I have no clue on how to address this economic crisis, so I''ll just throw as much mud at Obama as I can" camp. He''s got pitiful Palin to lead the charge and be the ''fall guy'' when the music stops.
