Palin Tells Couric That She's "The New Energy"

Katie Couric's series of exclusive interviews with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin continues on tonight's Evening News, but thanks to our friends at Couric & Co., we have a sneak peak. Asked whether it was a "risky thing" to mention how long she's been listening to Joe Biden's speeches given the fact that her running mate is 72 years old, Palin said:
"Oh no, it's nothing negative at all. He's got a lot of experience and just stating the fact there, that we've been hearing his speeches for all these years. So he's got a tremendous amount of experience and, you know, I'm the new energy, the new face, the new ideas and he's got the experience based on many many years in the Senate. And voters are gonna have a choice there of what it is that they want in these next four years."

indevoter; you must go to the same church as Obama. I dont see from your last post that you really know too much about Obama and his ties you need to do a little more home work. As for being a mindless cheerleader for Palin-McCain you better believe it. He is a man who has protected and served this country so people like you can spout your mouth. As for you what have you accomplished? And Sarah Palin is just a regular down to earth person who can relate to the rest of us plain ole white trash people and doen''t have to hang with the boring Washington Elite, that is why every one is so afraid and threatened by her. Look at all the fools like Nacny Pelosi, Barney Frank and the rest that have had a job to do and can''t figure it out. Because there interests are for themselves and the people

Katie, We''ve watched you for years climb your way up. I am extremely disappointed by your clearly biased mannerism. You could not have looked more disrepectful of Governor Palin. Your expression looked as if you had a sour lemon in your mouth. You plainly bullied your criticisms to attempt to discredit her instead of impartial interviewing. It is truly sickening to watch CBS as well as all the other biased media perform this disservice to America. Have you ever once questioned Obama''s funding sources, relationships with Chicago political machine, Ayers, Raines, Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, voting record, earmark records,how he got where he is today, with whose money and backing? How about Biden''s two brain aneurysms or views on Homosexuality or ''pills''?
How insulting. You should be asahmed. Are you angry and sour-faced with them repeating your questions when you don''t get an answer you want? or warm, pleasant and smiling showing respect? Tim Russert you are not! I''m done with CBS, you''ve completely lost my respect.
Palin is not afraid to be genuine and is beholden to no one, unlike Obama and Biden who are deeply entrenched in benefiting from their ''cronies'' and this financial mess.

What is wrong with some of you people?? Are there any of you that have childen. How can you make comments about pregnacy out of wedlock and setting an example to our children?? If you were now a parent you should know you can teach you childrenright from wrong but that doesn;t always mean they are going to listen. How about the president in the white house that couldn''t keep it to himself. Maybe Bristol watched his example on television and thought if it okay for him it,s okay for me. Or what you let your children watch on tv? What a bunch of hypocrits. There is alot of stone throwing and I wonder if all of you are just shining examples. Has none of this hit close to home to you or someone you know?
As for McCains age, Obama could drop dead of a heart attack, and Joe Biden could be president. None of us are guarnteed a tomarrow. It seems we are loosing all of our rights and only the criminals and illegal immigrents and people to lazy to work and want the system to care for them, keep be irresponsible and the government will be stronger and we will just be pathetic puppets with out a mind of our own.

I completely ditto what tkilkeary posted. I''ve been trying to find a place to tell Katie that I see right through what you''ve done. You have received so much scrutiny for your role in CBS Nightly News and now here''s your chance to put it to someone else. I''m so sorry they were too hard on you; I''ve sympathized with you. And thought it unfair for the media to not give you a chance to build your own program instead of expecting you to be a man and fill other''s shoes before you. But now with this side of you coming out, you''ve completely lost my respect now.

To address GOPALIN1''s assertions:

1. The only convictions and beliefs that she has clearly stated are : her prolife stance ( even in cases of rape and incest) and that homosexuality is a choice.( She believes you can "pray the gay away"). Palin supports McCain in OVERTURNING Roe v Wade. She has NO BUSINESS legislating her convictions or beliefs onto me. How even more horrific for any rape or incest victim to again be raped of her choice. Pathetic. As Major and Governor, she has vetoed legislation to recognize gay marriages. Although I am not gay, she is imposing her personal beliefs by blocking legislation that can benefit gay couples. Palin needs to stop walking her talk on me and the rest of America.

2. The divorce rate is 52% for (heterosexual) marriages. Maybe the homosexuals can teach the majority heterosexuals the values of monogamyif they weren''t so discriminated against. And, in 1996, she had an affair with her husband''s business partner. So much for the sanctity of her marriage.

3. Her 17 year old daughter conceived and is carring a child out of wedlock.

Yeah, such great values I want the younger generation to embrace. I can hear teens across America now: But mom, why can''t I have a baby? Bristol did it and her mom is the Vice President of the United States. Sarah''s a cool mom..can''t you be cool like her? It''s time to RAISE the standard, not stoop to it.

Any one of these gaffes on their own would have dominated the cable shows for months if Gore had said them. Yet, there''s one every minute or two with Palin. Every answer is gold.

The mindless Palin cheerleaders out out in force. They would be for the beauty contestant who speaks in tongues no matter what she has done or said. These are the people McCain wanted to energize and he can have them. But any person, including evangelists who can be objective for at least five minutes at a time rejects Palin as unqualified based on what she has said and and her record to date. This is why McCain is going down to defeat.

He has already been quoted with saying there are 57 States. Yeah, 57 Islam States.

He didn''t even know the soldier''s name on the bracelet he was wearing until he looked at it!

Don''t you think his experience should entail a little bit more than being a community organizer?
