Palin Makes Low-Key Appearance After Big Speech

A day after wowing Republican delegates in a convention address that was almost universally acclaimed, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin emerged from a meeting with Republican governors and went right back on the attack against Barack Obama.

Reviving a popular Republican line of attack—that Obama voted "present" dozens of times while in the Illinois senate—Palin said, "We don't have a 'present' button as governor. We are expected to lead, we are expected to take action and not just vote 'present.' So there's a big difference, of course, between the executive and legislative branches and our experience."

The Republican governors event in the Twin Cities marked the first time since John McCain made her his running mate—excluding her convention speech—that Palin appeared in public without the top of the ticket by her side.

Palin is slated to begin campaigning on her own Monday, and she told reporters she's eager to travel across the country.

"I intend to give this campaign all that I have to give," she said. "And I look forward to these 60-plus days on the trail. My family looks forward to this, we're up for it, we're excited about it."

Seriously, is the fact that Gov. Palin lacks foreign policy experience REALLY going to prevent her from being an effective VP of the United States? Biden was chosen as Obama''s VP specifically for his foreign relations experience because (gulp!) Obama doesn''t have that. Last I checked, Obama was running for President, not Biden.

All the pundits said Biden''s main purpose was to be Obama''s attack dog. So why the fuss about the GOP v.p. candidate being assigned the same task? Palin has inspired some to try to persuade women''s groups to move past the single issue politics of abortion, which has held them captive to the Dem party forever. That would be an interesting coalition.

So Palin took some liberties. So has Obama, so has Biden, so has McCain. Who''s perfect? They''re all politicians. What matters is who you will believe when it comes to the party philosophies. Obama believes government should take a bigger part in your life and McCain wants less government intervention. Now make your choice and stop whining who''s better. It''s character that matters. Bush is a chimp. I knew that first time I heard him talk and read his bio.
However, I personally like Johnny simply cuz his character is more solid. He has nothing to prove. He''s been up and down in politics for so long it proves (to me) his devotion to the country is undisputed. Obama seems more hungry for the white house due to his own blind ambition rather than for reasons of servitude.
Character is the key. In their times as a youth, as an adult and as a politician. Obama chose to use drugs in his youth. McCain hasn''t. As an adult Obama became a lawyer and fought for his clients. McCain joined the army and fought for his country. Obama as a politician -adequately respectable; McCain as a politician for 20 years--he has nothing to prove.

I believe that change starts from within. The democrates are trying to change the election process is presented to the public. Debates and conversation about ideas, goals and issues without fear tactics. Palins whole speech was was just more of the same old politics. Scare them and trash your opponents. They just wrapped it up in a pretty package and tried to sell mom and apple pie.

I believe that change starts from within. The democrates are trying to change the election process is presented to the public. McCain is going down. Palin is already on her way out. She has no credibility. Last night she claimed once again she said ''thanks but no thanks on the bridge to nowhere''. Every major newspaper in the country has already reported that she very much supported the bridge to nowhere when she ran for governor. Also, there is now a very compromising photo of Palin showing her support for the bridge and the town of Ketchikan where it was supposed to be built. Check SarahPalinExposed. It''s all there. Plus, don''t forget her association with the Alaskan Independence Party, which favors "secession" from the U.S. She''s on video expressing her support for that party.

What is so amazing about this election is how a man with no experience whatsoever may become the President. Yeah you can rant and rave about him all you want but the truth is he doesn''t know JS about governing. At least Hillary had some experience but this guy is a joke! I''m not going to stick up for George Bush, Obama, McCain or anyone else for that matter who caters to illegal aliens and calls himself an AMERICAN. People have wanted a national health plan yet you pay for illegal aliens medical treatment every day and don''t complain about it. Your not AMERICANS your idiots! 25 million illegals which costs all AMERICANS god knows what $$$$$ and still you will vote for one of these candidates. I''m all for legal immigration but catering to these illegals because each political party wants them as a voting block makes me want to puke. To make my point I want each and every one of you to do your country a favor next time your out and about. When you see an illegal alien give them a $100.00 bill to fill their prescriptions or maybe pay for that office visit that you personally complain about paying for. I''m not a racist, just a guy who lives month to month like the rest of you watching Obama and McCain sticking it where the sun don''t shine. Go ahead smart ***** and give that $100.00 bill out every time you see an illegal and then tell me how good you really feel and then shut your mouth about health insurance!
