New McCain Spot Features "Hillary Clinton Democrat" Who Backs McCain

With the Democratic National Convention beginning today, the McCain campaign has released its second straight ad looking to capitalize on frustration amongst Hillary Clinton supporters that their candidate is not the party's nominee.

The latest spot, "Debra," features Debra Bartoshevich, a former Clinton delegate, discussing her decision to back John McCain.

I'm a proud Hillary Clinton Democrat," Bartoshevich says as the spot opens. "She had the experience and judgment to be President. Now, in a first for me, I'm supporting a Republican, John McCain. I respect his maverick and independent streak, and now he's the one with the experience and judgment. A lot of Democrats will vote McCain. It's okay, really!"

"Debra" comes on the heels of "Passed Over," a McCain ad suggesting that Clinton was not asked to be Obama's running mate because she spoke the truth about his shortcomings during the primary battle.

UPDATE: The Obama campaign sends a responds from Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz: ""This ad does not reflect the sentiment of the thousands of former Clinton supporters from my Congressional District who have embraced Barack Obama's message of uniting Americans and getting the country back on track. Cheap political stunts like this ad show that John McCain is offering more of the same: four more years of failed Bush policies and a record of supporting George Bush 95% of the time and losing track of how many houses he owns. Hillary Clinton supporters are embracing Barack Obama and Joe Biden because they know they will bring a tax code that gives real relief to working families, a serious plan to tackle the energy crisis and help you cope with rising prices, and an end to the kind of political game too often on display at McCain headquarters."

by Harvybing August 26, 2008 10:52 AM EDT: The REAL reason so many Hillary supporters are upset isn''t being reported. Many are outraged because their right to vote was stolen from them. Hillary knows that the DNC rigged the rules in Caucus states and encouraged Obama strong men to intimidate Hillary supporters. In Texas those same Obama strongmen defrauded many people of their lawful right to vote.

Barak Obama was born in Hawaii, a US State, and his mother is a US citizen... either of which makes him a US citizen. The fact that someone who registered on this website, but couldn''t even search for Obama''s biography suggests that it''s ignorance or racisim at work, and not actually a logical thought process.

A communist country effectively used their rising middle-class to put on the greatest show ever AND win the most gold medals. There were just too few Moms%u2019s and Dad%u2019s like Michael Phelp%u2019s or Shawn Johnson%u2019s who%u2019s sacrifice was enough to propel their kids to the top. The rest were too distracted by mortgage failures, medical expenses, gas prices and educational budget-cuts, all problems that grew during two+ decades of rising corporate tax-cuts and profits.

Obama not only lacks experience, but his past & present activities, his beliefs, and his associations mark him as an ambitious underworld "Turk" with Third-world backing and ties rather than the patriotic Democrat he pretends to be. Much evidence indicates he doesn''''t even have the American citizenship to legally run for presidency; a lawsuit is pending to determine if he in fact lacks the required citizenship. Regardless, Obama is dangerous to America and Americans, while John McCain has repeatedly proved his loyalty to our country and that he will do whatever he deems best for her. And he has ample experience to qualify him for the oval office. Thus we now support McCain."

That speaks loudly to me that they have nothing positive about themselves to say and can only attempt to discount their opposition. McCain is a putz --- all he does is tell us why we shouldn''t vote for someone else not what he can or wants to do. I truly believe that John McCain would much prefer Hillary Clinton as his running mate rather then Mitt Romney, or any of the other Right Wing Candidates that ran against him in the primaries.
