Influential conservative commentator and longtime Washington journalist Robert Novak has been hospitalized after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

"On Sunday, July 27, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor," Novak wrote in a statement given to his publisher. "I have been admitted to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where doctors will soon begin appropriate treatment.

"I will be suspending my journalistic work for an indefinite but, God willing, not too lengthy period."

A fixture of the Washington media for five decades, Novak played a prominent role in the Valerie Plame CIA leak scandal when he identified Plame as a CIA operative in his newspaper column. Last week, Novak was in the news when he was cited for hitting a pedestrian with his car in Washington.

I love all you bleeding heart liberals showing your downright nasty side (or would that be your true colors?) busting on a guy who has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor - and you wonder why we have problems in this country - look in the mirror my friends!

It would be a serious mistake to call me a friend of yours. Novak is a dirty rotten scum bag. Good riddence to him and his kind. Got it?

Reckon he and Kennedy will have ajoining rooms out on the brain damaged white elitist wing??

This may go a long way toward explaining some of what appears to be the outright silliness Bob has offered over the past year or so.

Bob Novak is a hero. He has had a long carrier.

I hope he returns soon and stays around for a long time.

novak used to be a journalist but gave up that career when he became a conduit for the White House propaganda machine (WHIG - white house iraq group).

he regularly propagated "information" provided by his WH handlers - flaming the war cries and necon power feeding frenzy.

sorry for your problems novak, but you aren''t a very good person.

On the basis of Mr. Novak''s misconduct the last couple of years, I can''t say this is bad news! It''s not.

It may be a message from God! And God is saying it''s time to get you out of there before you do anymore harm!

If he recovers, he recovers. If not, the nation''s security status will improve---no more telling the enemy who are agents ARE!
