Pawlenty Of Speculation

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty did what he could to try and tamp down speculation that he's a front-runner to be John McCain's running mate. Pawlenty told reporters this week that he doesn't expect it. "I'm honored to have my name mentioned," Pawlenty said according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "The fact is, I haven't been asked, and I don't expect to be asked." And today, Pawlenty told reporters that the McCain campaign has not asked him for any information, something that's required during the vetting process, reports the AP. Pawlenty also said he has not talked to McCain or anyone at the campaign about the second slot.

John McCain is a War Monger, McCain and the Conservative Republican Party has implemented the Military Industrial Complex warned by General Dwight Eisenhower in his farewell speech to the nation in 1961. McCain and the Republicans besides having an obscure affinity for war, death and destruction, are on track to sustaining the Bush Administration%u2019s imperial domination (or, half hearted attempt so far) of the Middle East.

McCain has stated that the US would maintain their occupation in Iraq for the long term (100 years if necessary). Currently Americans are being billed $12 Billion Dollars per month each and every month since January 2007. The Privatization of Bush%u2019s War has brought a windfall to Contractors setting the stage for a permanent wartime economy.

Americans need seriously evaluate the crossroad we have come to in this year%u2019s elections. Do we want to be a country of perpetual war and war production? Or, do we want to change the current course we%u2019ve been forced down to a peace and prosperity economy?
