For GOP, Barr The Door?

By

Former Rep. Bob Barr announced today that he will seek the Libertarian presidential nomination, a move that could raise concern among Republicans nervous about anything that might siphon voters from John McCain this fall.

Barr, who became nationally known as one of the lead House members in President Clinton's impeachment, is enough of a name to potentially attract disgruntled conservatives. "I've heard from Americans from all walks of life," Barr said in announcing his run. "They want a choice. They believe that America has more and better to offer than what the current political situation is serving up to us."

In order to succeed, Barr will have to win the party's nomination at the national convention which begins on May 22. Driving concerns among the GOP is Ron Paul, whose bid for the Republican nomination has attracted a vocal and dedicated following. Paul was the Libertarian candidate for president in 1988 and, while he has said he won't seek to run on a third party ticket, any credible conservative could prove problematic. Barr lost his bid for re-election in 2002 after two GOP districts were thrown together in redistricting and later publicly announced he was leaving the Republican Party.

So he bores you, huh? Are you one of those AD/HD Ritalin kids? When one of your sniveling lib radio programs can stay on for a year or so, let alone 20, then come back and see us. Loser!

I sure hope Limpbore stands up and claims responsibility for this split in his own party. Operation Chaos goes both ways a$$hole.

This will be like Ross Perot in ''92. He will help get Ubama dangerously close to being elected.

Barr none- this guy is just a distraction- he will never get the chance. Ron Paul would have a much better chance than he.

Obama keeps telling us about his

Mothers side of the family,

Americans. But never mentions

his Fathers side of his family,

MUSLIN NATIVE AFRICANS. I''d like

to hear about their patriotism.

Anyone remember the story a few years back about an ex green beret colonel who claimed there were pow''s still in Vietnam, congress told him to give them proof so he went on a mission and came back with pictures. Then congress put out a warrant for his arrest but he lives in Utah with his own army and they couldn''t serve the warrant. He also ran a pirate radio station. I heard it occassionally when i lived in Vegas. Now this is a man i would like to see run for office of president.

I also come from a long line of Democrats but I have to face the fact that the Democratic Party isn''t what it used to be.

Two things have become evident to me even though they don''''t
make any sense at all.

The first one is that the Democratic Party Leadership
knows damm well that if Obama where to actually make
it past the Republicans and get in the White House, the results will be disastrous.

The second one is that the Democratic leadership
is throwing this election.

I know it''s hard to believe. I know it doesnt make any sense. But it''s happening everyday right in front of us, and I can''t go on telling myself that it isn''t.

If Barr has any money at all, this is REALLY bad news for John McCain.

I think everyone wants change for our country, but i think some are being mislead by mccain and obama. I want someone who will put our country first. That is why Ron Paul was my first choice and now Barr
