Get Ready To Rummmmble!

The presidential candidates have appeared on countless late night and day time talk shows, from "Ellen" to "Oprah" to Jay and Dave. But they're not leaving any stone unturned in the search for votes. All three remaining candidates have taped promos for the WWE's "Raw" program (that's "professional" wrestling to the uninitiated). You can watch them here but here's a preview:

Hillary Clinton: "Hi, I'm Hillary Clinton. But tonight, in honor of the WWE, you can call me Hill-Rod. This election is starting to feel a lot like 'King of the Ring.' The only difference is, the last man standing may just be a woman."

Barack Obama: "To the special interests who've been setting the agenda in Washington for far too long, to all the forces of division and distraction that have stopped us from making progress for the American people, I've got one question -- Do you smell what Barack is cooking?"

John McCain: "Looks like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama want to settle their differences in the ring. Well, that's fine with me but let me tell you, if you want to be The Man, you've got to beat The Man. Come November, it will be game over."

As if you know better than they what they want out of life and a candidate. It just doesn''''''''t add up. Then you read where they have to hide the empty seats in a small high school gym at a Clinton "rally" behind a big blue curtain while the Obama rally has 35,000 boisterous folks chanting "YES WE CAN" at the top of their lungs. It just makes no sense to me how supposedly legitimate polling shows her to be so far ahead when the enthusiasm at their staged events so overwhelmingly favors Obama. I JUST DON"T GET IT. C''''''''mon, PA....Barack will go to the mat for you!

Especially as a woman, I%u2019m not sure how you could not vote for Hillary. She is such an inspiration for women. She%u2019s not only the right woman for the Presidency, but she is the right person.

Hillary is smart, polished and ready for this huge job. I don%u2019t know if any of the Presidents who have been elected in the past can even hold a candle to Hillary!!

by javalation April 21, 2008 9:33 PM EDT: Hillary reminds me of the boxer Bernard Hopkins in his fight with Joe Calzaghe because of his charging with the intent to head butt, then grabbing an arm to keep from getting hit. When he started falling behind on points, he pretended to be hurt by a low blow when a glove brushed his crotch while he was pushing down the head of Calzaghe. After the fight, even though Calzaghe had been the aggressor throwing more punches and scoring twice as many hit, Hopkins whined about how the judges cheated him when he lost. Hopkins had a well deserved reputation as a dirty fighter, but acted outraged that Calzaghe was able to turn the tables on him. Clinton is from the same mold.; Reply to this comment
