Obama Responds To Provocative Clinton Spot

Hillary Clinton's campaign released a provocative ad earlier today in Texas asking the question: When your children are asleep at 3 am and a phone is ringing in the White House, who do you want picking up the phone?

"Your vote will decide who answers that call," an announcer said in the ad, which you can watch here. "Whether it's someone who already knows the world's leaders, knows the military, someone tested and ready to lead in a dangerous world."

Now the Obama campaign has released a response to the Clinton spot. Using a similar setup – the 3 am phone call, the children asleep – the ad makes this argument:
When that call gets answered, shouldn't the president be the one – the only one – who had judgment and courage to oppose the Iraq war from the start… Who understood the REAL threat to America was al-Qaeda, in Afghanistan, not Iraq. Who led the effort to secure loose nuclear weapons around the globe… In a dangerous world, it's judgment that matters.
Watch it below:

When the phone rings in the White House, no matter what time it is, I would prefer that it be John McCain who answers.

And his whole campaign, if Hillary didn''t say it or put it in a plan first, Obama hasn''t a clue what the hell he''s talking about unless it''s put on a teleprompter for him!

Whatta dummy! He criticizes her, then puts out the exact same add!

And we''re tired of hearing the FAIRY TALE about you opposing the war! You made one speech! Big deal! Lots of people made speeches! But those voting had to consider the will of the people at the time, and consider that we''d just had a catastrophic attack!

Obama is a total fruit loop claiming grandeur he doesn''t posses!

Obama is neglecting his duties in the job he was elected for in order to pursue a more powerful job. His surrogates point out that it''s the freshman Senator from Illinois'' judgement, that we took our eyes off the prize by going in to Iraq, as the justification for his elevation to the Presidency. I agree that we let Bin Laden off the hook by neglecting Afghanistan and going into Iraq. He is neglecting his position as Chair of the Sub-committee that oversees NATO''s activities in Afghanistan. This is tremendously important to the security of this country, but he has yet to chair a single meeting (since Jan. 2007, when he assumed the Chair) in his pursuit of higher office. If he doesn''t take this job seriously, what assurances do we have that he will take the position of the Presidency seriously?

The only thing of substance that obama says is when he says he agrees with Senator Clinton. My husband calls him oblahblah because he never says anything of substance (my husband is a Vietnam Veteran and a member of MENSA). My husband''s question is, "Where''s the Beef?" Where''s the plan, besides agreeing with Senator Clinton?

Hilarious and revealing. Bill Clinton campaigns against the very tactics his wife uses:

The point is not whether or not it is plagerism. The point is if Clinton''s ad is regarded as "fear-mongering", then Obama is just as guilty of "fear mongering" since his ad is almost exactly the same as Hillary''s.

"If we are to believe her ad, then John McCane should be answering that phone. She really is running an inane strategy.

Let me elaborate on the spelling.
Actually, instead of voting McCain, write-in John McClane:

Please check your facts about Senator Barack Obama on his website.
I feel that Senator Clinton failed the ''''''''test'''''''' when she voted to give President Bush authority to go to war in Iraq. In my years of watching and interacting with congress I have never observed that Senator Clinton ever did or said anything that made me think she would make a good president... in fact she had left me unimpressed in every way. She has exhibited poor judgement in the way she has conducted her campaign. And now not only do I feel she should NOT be president but I have lost respect for her.
I am an educated, single, caucasian, 44 yr old, mother, and small business owner in Colorado. From the first time I heard Senator Obama I could see that he has extraordinary, natural leadership skills, integrity, honesty, and wisdom. I believe that he has the potential to become one of the greatest leaders of our time. Senator Obama is an incredible orator and very inspiring but he is also VERY SUBSTANTIVE. He is the one I want protecting our national security 24/7. He has MORE legislative ''''''''EXPERIENCE'''''''' than Senator Clinton.
I do not have any delusions about how challenging it may be to get our country back on track...this is why we NEED HOPE and why we HAVE TO BELIEVE AND SAY "YES WE CAN!"
