Strickland Pushes Clinton In New Ad

Hillary Clinton has a new ad out in Ohio, "Fighter," featuring the state's governor, Ted Strickland – a longtime Clinton friend who has been talked about as a potential vice president for the former first lady.

"We need a president, first of all, who's going to be a fighter," Strickland says in the spot. "That's the way I see Hillary Clinton. Hillary's always been an advocate for the middle class. She's got great plans to create new jobs in every part of Ohio."

Strickland goes on to describe Clinton as a "person of deep faith" who has "devoted her life to caring about other people" and is "fighting for us." Watch below:



Clinton also has a new Ohio radio spot out, "Faith," which also features Strickland – you can hear it here. Strickland again says Clinton "is a person of deep faith" who "understands Ohio very deeply."

Ohio voters go to the polls Tuesday, and a solid win there is considered essential for Clinton to have a legitimate shot at closing the gap on rival Barack Obama.

We need to stop hoping for change and start thinking about who will make the best leader and vehicle for change. If Hillary Clinton had entered the race with Obama''s scant credentials and experience, she would have been laughed out of town.

I have not and will not join the Church of Obama. And if my party missteps and nominates the man, I will do either one of two things:

1. Not vote
2. Vote for Ralph Nader in protest.

This is not American Idol, folks. We''re choosing a Presidental candidate. I hope the voters of Texas and Ohio rally to Hillary''s side, not because they''ve been blinded by the light but because they can see what an extraordinary woman has come before us and is ready to restore the country to sanity and pride and honor. Stand up for her, so she can stand up for us, all of us.

I have always liked Hillary Clinton.I think she is intelligent and caring,and would make a great president.If the Kennedys and all the other, former so-called friends of her''s cause her to loose the nomination,because of their new found fascination with their wunderkind,Barack Obama,I''m going to do something I''ve never done in 54 yrs.I will vote Republican.

Hillary is the queen of special interests, taking money from whoever will give it, flip flopping her opinions to suit who she is speaking to, and political pandering. She is not a leader - she is only interested in Hillary and any power she can grasp.

Please people. Look at the facts. Both Clinton and McCain have been sponsored by huge donations from Pacs and corporate lobbyists. Do you think either one of them cares about the fortunes of middle America? Where did Hillary''s $5,000,000 come from that she "loaned" her campaign? Why won''t she disclose the Clinton tax return? Why did she and McCain authorize George Bush into going to war in Iraq when they knew he was lying about wmd''s? I don''t want their type of "experience" to be in the White House. There is no "cult Obama." There is just finally, a good man trying to bring the American dream to our fellow citizens.
Hopefully his truly grass roots effort will get America back on the proper track of taking care of its own people rather than taking care of big oil, fat cats, and the military-industrial complex which has put us in so much danger- and which has nearly bankrupted our economy. Stop the hate talk- it is irrational and totally ignorant.

Gov. Strickland is right. Hillary is a fighter, and she has the most solid plans for the future.

Change is electing someone to the Whitehouse who actually knows what they are doing.

Have we learned nothing from 8 years of the guy everyone wanted to have a beer with? You''re supposed to look at the person''s record, not the magic aura. This isn''t an election for president of a fraternity; coolness and buzz should be irrelevant. Obama''s campaign is devolving into pure demagoguery, and the Dems will lose my vote if they run him.

I don''t understand this "Cult" description of the backers of Barack Obama. He did everything he could to improve himself and his country be getting a good education, working in his community when he could have made millions in the corporate sector, running for office to make things better for his constituenrs, has a nice family and gets along with people of different views. Where is the cult? Are you afraid of him because he is a black man? I don''t get it.
I''m a retired airline pilot who voted for JFK and Ronald Reagan. I see Obama as the only hope we have to end the politics of division and get our country back on its proper track. More than a million small donors have contributed to his campaign. Both Clinton and McCain are backed by large lobbying groups- and that is where their money comes from. Please stop the hate and fear tactics. It''s not good for anyone and especially not for America.
