Ron Paul has once again said he won't mount an third-party candidacy even while acknowledging that his prospects for winning the Republican nomination are nearly non-existent. In a message to supporters on his campaign Web site today, Paul wrote, "with [Mitt] Romney gone, the chances of a brokered convention are nearly zero. But that does not affect my determination to fight on, in every caucus and primary remaining, and at the convention for our ideas, with just as many delegates as I can get."

The Texas congressman said he is cutting his national campaign staff and noted that he is also concentrating on holding onto his House seat, according to the AP. Paul faces a primary challenge. "If I were to lose the primary for my congressional seat, all our opponents would react with glee, and pretend it was a rejection of our ideas," Paul wrote. "I cannot and will not let that happen." Texas holds its primary contests for the presidential race and House races on March 4th.

No matter what. We need Ron Paul to work for the American people, as President or as congressman as he has been doing for many years.
Is Hillary Clinton for "The Citizens" of America? That is the function of the "President", or is it for HER personal gain? Yes, she WILL garnish our paychecks with her Mandatory Healthcare plan. No Freedom of choice.
Just check the 1996 bill submitted to congress by Hillary Clinton and look who saved all America''s butts, which includes all our children. Please begin your learning experience here:

seems today''s Face the Nation is in the same low caliber reporting that Fox News is, I listened today to Bob Schieffer''s narrative on current runners as well as the things we "learned" from those who dropped out...only during the ENTIRE story Ron Paul, the ONLY ONE TO WIN EVERY internet straw pole, who over 75% of those polled say they want him for president; was not even mentioned. not in those listed as still running nor in the "what we learned" section on those who dropped out. the American Media seems to be showing it''s true lying, misdirecting, self serving attitude during this race. Ron Paul the only honest (i laughed when McCain was discribed as the only one who tells it like it is)candidate running, who''s not ALREADY sold out to special interest doesn''t get ANY media attention...you media folks are pretty frightened by this guy. a good media house cleaning, a little impeachment would go along way to towards setting America back on track.

To, that moron below: Ron Paul is the most honest man in Congress, even McCain said that. Ron Paul returns a portion of his budget to the Treasury every year. He does not take the lucrative congressional pension which he could. He supported Reagan in 1976 when the Republican party thought Reagan was a joke. You are blowing off the best candidate the party will have in our lifetime with his thorough knowledge of economics, monetary and foreign policy and his iron will to stick to the basic founding principles of America for 30 years and not be an ignorant traitor as most of our republicans in Congress. Go ahead put McCain or Huckabee in and in a year you will be very sorry. I pay a hell of a lot more to the IRS that just get''s waisted than my measely $2300 I gave to Ron Paul to at least open the eyes of Americans who care about America. You go ahead and follow the media. Sheep do get slaughtered. Lots of Ron Paul supporters have learned the game of the FED and next time we will have $300 million to save your sorry, dog food eating ***..but we may just not care.

Huckabee 24%
McCain 26%
Paul 21%
Romney 16%
Uncommitted 12%

Even shifting from the race, Ron Paul came within 4% of the presumptive nominee. A drop-out came within 10%, and Anybody-but-McCain got 12%.

What was it the media said after Hillary won New Hampshire against two other strong candidacies? -- A majority voted for someone else, wasn''t it? Here, the race is over, McCain is the Presidential nominee and 74% voted for someone else.

Since his fourth place in Iowa made him the real winner, I guess McCain votes are kind of like dog years, one of his equals seven for anyone else.

Money talks, and corruption abounds! However, Americans that have donated to Ron Paul''s campaign should be proud; equally important is that you get out and vote!

I didn''t contribute to Ron Paul''s campaign so that he could send it back, I contributed to help send a message to Washington.

I appreciate the sacrifice of Ron Paul--he is a courageous lion amongst a bunch of hyenas. In order to effect change in politics it is essential that we give our support to those brave enough to stand up for our individual liberties, personal property rights, and for sound monetary and humble foreign policies.

Without such robust fundraising, Ron Paul would have been pushed aside from the onset--written off. To assume otherwise would be foolish, and to allow this, tragic.

Regardless of what remains in the coffers of Ron Paul''s campaign in November, he has earned it. Without him there would not have been any real debating at all, just sound bites and propaganda.

At the end of the day, Ron Paul has to think about his family, and his district, and we need to make sure men like him remain in the Congress--he is a truly an American patriot.

Your a fool. Ron Paul was censored by the media the whole time and if he had half the media attention as the other candidates he would be on top. Why are his followers looney? Because we agree on smaller government and liberty? Get rid of the DoE, IRS, social security? Do some research why these programs are not working. His followers are mostly young Americans or people who have access to the internet who do research and understand where this country is going. Your a sheep and all sheep are led to the slaughter.
