The campaign of Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee today announced that Huckabee had secured the endorsement of Donald E. Wildmon, founder of American Family Association.

Notes a Huckabee release on the endorsement: "The AFA represents and stands for traditional family values, focusing primarily on the influence of television and other media – including pornography – on our society."

Huckabee said in a statement that "Rev. Wildmon and I share the same values on faith and family."

Not noted in the release is that Wildmon, as the Associated Press points out, "once accused Mighty Mouse of teaching children to snort cocaine."

The endorsement is just the latest piece of evidence that social conservatives are not united behind one presidential candidate. Yesterday, televangelist Pat Robertson endorsed Rudy Giuliani, and on Monday Moral Majority founder Paul Weyrich threw his support behind Mitt Romney.

FlangeSqueal uses some pretty hateful and judgmental language to accuse the Christian right of being hateful and judgmental...
