Black Friday For Toy Shoppers

(AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana)
If you're like me, you are starting your Christmas shopping in earnest on Black Friday, so first of all, good luck navigating those crowds and try to stay in the holiday spirit. A lot of parents I know are staying away from buying toys for their kids, though, with the 60-plus recalls issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission this year. It's frustrating to try and keep up with what's dangerous and what's not on the shelves this season and even more difficult to try and get answers about who is responsible for all these dangerous toys getting into our stores in the first place. Someone has to be held accountable. In the meantime, I'm sticking to books and clothes for the kids this Christmas!
