Pit bulls in Philippine dog fights to be put down
MANILA, Philippines — A Philippine animal welfare group says dozens of pit bulls rescued from dogfighting will be put down because there are no facilities to rehabilitate them and prevent them from again being used in underground arenas.
In three separate raids last week, police arrested eight South Koreans suspected of running illegal online gambling in which players bet on dogs fighting at a clandestine compound south of Manila in Laguna province.
Anna Cabrera of the Philippine Animal Welfare Society said Tuesday it is not possible to care for about 70 of the some 300 pit bulls that were rescued. Some of the dogs have ripped ears and tongues from the fights, and she says it would be irresponsible to give away animals that have not properly healed.

- Let the dogs have the "people" as chew toys. I'm sure that the dogs would love the chance to get some payback.

- I think they should put down all the people that created this problem. To destroy innocent animals because their humans who were responsible for them fail is a sin. I hope these people go to hell. The dogs didn't do anything wrong and they pay with their lives how sad and pathetic what there is not anther way to save these animals. I hope the people are put in cages for the rest of their lives....
