Comscore: Android up, Blackberry down

(CBS) - According to the latest numbers from Internet marketing firm Comscore, Android continued to grow as the most popular mobile platform in the U.S.
According to Comscore, "91.4 million people in the U.S. owned smartphones during the three months ending in November," and Google's mobile operating system was running on 46.9% of them (up 3.1% over previous numbers).
Apple's iOS charted at No. 2 with 28.7% of the market (up 1.4%). Blackberry-maker RIM lost ground at no. 3, coming in at 16.6% of devices polled and Microsoft finished at No. 4 with just 5.2% of devices.
Samsung, which manufactures Android-based devices, was the No. 1 handset manufacturer, according to Comscore.
Comscore's numbers are based on a survey of 30,000 people.
