LA County sheriff's deputy shot and wounded
EL MONTE, Calif. — Authorities say a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy has been shot and wounded in the city of El Monte.
Sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker says the shooting happened just before 9 a.m. Sunday. Parker says the deputy's condition is not known.
Details surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
An off-ramp to the westbound 60 Freeway in Southern California has been shut down due to the shooting.
